I am looking to create an Android app which sends $1 when a user taps their contactless credit / debit card against the phone.

I was hoping to use NFC to capture the card details and a payment processor (e.g. Stripe) to send the money

Is this sort of transaction possible (and legal / within the developer T&Cs) using the Android Java SDK?

Using Moto G Stylus atm, which is basically the Power + a stylus and 48mp cam) and it's been phenomenal. Only applied 1 update so far but will be Rooting once I get the correct FirmWare available. As for bugs, none I've seen so far..

Thank you. I tried Moto/Lenovo's support software. It was useless. Got on the phone with support & fixed. Cleared storage in 2 places. Found that DND had been activated. No idea how. Reset that. It works now.

I thought this was interesting, and created a Tasker profile as "state - orientation face down", and the task assigned to that state was media command pause, see screencap, works like a champ.

Unfortunately, I'm blocked again. TWRP says that Magisk-v20.4.zip has a wrong signature, same for the 20.2 release, and install fails in both cases.
So, if anybody has an idea...

Your phone's charging circuitry will take in the voltage and amperage it requires so using an adapter that can supply more power isn't going to be a problem. Power generation and transfer does produce heat, the issue being when using an adapter that's too minimal it will always be heating up much more. On the other hand, using a power adapter that's more capable won't be struggling to provide enough power, and the charging process is going to be better for the battery too. Most power adapters are more or less cheap and incidental anyway, being too small to contain really effective filtering components to provide clean, precise power delivery. And for most people they'd rather replace a failing power adapter than a failing battery. Power adapters are relatively inexpensive and easy, while replacing the battery in a lot of smartphones now is a hassle.

No, not yet. My work schedule is loaded and with the shortened hours of businesses I haven't been able to... Yet.
