Pass audio file to text to speech engine?

Ones I wanted to transcribe my audio file with an interview. I tried to invent a similar code for Java like u, but this text I needed in near future. The easiest way for me was to find someone who can make this task fast, and for not much money. Luckily I found this website with a transcription services review which helped me to choose services. Thanks to them and their website I chose services, which are good for the price, and good quality of transcription! U can take a quick overlook on their site, maybe u’ll find out smth interesting about your problem! Have no regrets about their reviews and completed work.

Two Home icons merged. Pls help separate

Many THANKS to All of you kind helpers.
...
Now I do have my two icons separated on Home, am very happy and much thankful for your help.
You're very welcome! I'm happy to hear that you're back to your normal look.
One modest wish to tell you - the WEB site of this forum could be much more friendlier and more easy to deal with.
Can you explain that a bit? What did you find difficult about using it? Suggestions and feedback are always welcome! :)

Largest FAT File System on SDCard?

What is the largest size FAT file system to which both Android and Windows 8 will support both reading and writing? I thought the limit was 32GB. Somehow I ended up with a 64GB SDCard with exFAT on it and that is working between the two operating systems.

Assuming a 128 GB SDCard will work, should I be doing the initial format of that under Android, or under Windows? Do I need any special format settings under Windows, or does it require a third party utility?

FAT and each of its variants are owned by Microsoft so Windows support for it is a given.
But it's very dated and even Microsoft stopped putting development support for it years ago when it moved to NTFS -- FAT file systems weren't all that stable and robust even in their day, now it's a mess that we're all just stuck with. Currently Microsoft continues to allow other platforms to include basic support for it but FAT is still proprietary so other companies are legally prevented from any more. USB storage media continues to rely upon FAT32 or exFAT as a default, despite all its faults -- i.e. weak support for file/folder permission in other platforms; restrictions on file metadata; and as you've brought up, file and storage media limitations.

Backup stock using GSM Aladdin

The first step shouldn't be dangerous, certainly not if it has an officially unlockable bootloader.
The main danger with flashing TWRP is flashing the wrong TWRP. So make sure it's for your device and not some other model, and check you have a good download (any decent source should provide a checksum, such as an md5). This is the riskiest of the three though.
If you flash TWRP OK then you can use it to back up your ROM before flashing SuperSU. Then if anything goes wrong with that step you can just restore the backup using TWRP. It's a step people often miss, but I would always recommend taking a backup with TWRP before using it to flash anything, including using it to root the ROM.
Personally I always make sure I know where to find official stock firmware before attempting to root a phone, rather than try to find a way of backing up without root (partly because for the devices I've rooted there is no way of backing up a stock phone anyway). So my main concern is backing up my stuff, since unlocking most phones will also factory reset them.
Oh i really didn't think about that (backup before flashing SuperSU) thank you i will do that :)

Help ChameleonProvider has stopped

Just to confirm, there are apparently several 'Slate 8' tablets -- Swipe Slate 8, HP Slate 8 Plus, and HP Slate 8 Pro. Apparently the first two do support cellular service, so that rules out the Pro model. So do you have a Swipe or a HP model?
https://www.gadgetsnow.com/compare-tablets/Swipe-Slate-8-vs-HP-Slate-8-Plus-vs-HP-Slate-8-Pro
In any case, they're all quite dated tablets so at this point if you cannot resurrect your Slate 8 you should weigh how much time and effort you want to devote to restore it back to working condition vs. just buying something new or at least newer.
I'd recommend not flashing any ROM that doesn't specifically match your model and brand exactly. ROMs are not interchangeable, and if you haven't already received any newer OTA upgrades by now (six+ years), it's very unlikely the manufacturer has released one.

Help Default Dialer

Please, no thoughts. I've done everything you've suggested already. I need to know how to do it, not how not to do it. The Home Advisor app is also asserting itself, though I don't even know if you can dial out on it. It's not just Firefox, it's my whole phone, even using my contacts. I need someone to answer that can help solve the problem. I am at my wit's end and out of patience with this. I've too many troubles right now to be patient with those answering that literally don't know how to fix this.

Maybe we need more details from you, specifically what exactly are these "Text Me" and "Home Advisor" apps, Are they some third-party things that you've installed. Because a few badly behaved apps may try to take over your system, like they're spying on you.

"Home Advisor" sounds like it might be something that receives commission from sales via their app, and is why it's asserting itself.

On my Firefox when I tap on a phone number, it opens the stock phone app with the phone number ready to call, and I just have to tap the Call button to make the call.

How can I completely remove "Do not disturb"

Removing any shortcuts to it from the notification pull-down might reduce the risk of accidental activation
Yeah, it's all too easy to accidentally trigger that mode from the Quick Settings pull-down. I'm willing to bet that's what happened.

@andfo to remove it, swipe down from the top of the screen twice to expand the Quick Settings panel, then tap the little pencil icon at the bottom left of the panel. That will enter Edit mode so that you can just drag-and-drop unwanted tiles to below the "Hold And Drag To Add Tiles" label to remove them.

Hello again. I now found a solution to play sound with: aplay from the: chroot-environment.

Many many thanks to the thread starter:

https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/maru-os-dev/HzqAdt2bpNw

First download this files:

asound.conf:
https://mega.nz/file/i0R2EY6D#lJUc-x-qFoBQQvHBagJu8URdaC2SFFHJweBHGtZNYr4

debian_sound.tar.gz:
https://mega.nz/file/7hBEgQBS#nWPPzzzmTUf77R3btNUqPt9wfpF4LCLOq8f77yAciKw

Now extract the: debian_sound.tar.gz to a folder on your phone.

Then from the: chroot-environment:

Code:
cp -av /path/to/asound.conf /etc
alsa reload
cp -av /path/to/sound /opt
chmod a+xrw /opt/sound
cd /opt
./sound

At next, install the play.apk and start it. It shows a: "Hello world!".

When you've started the: sound-binary you should see a: Server Started. And when you've launched the: play.apk you should see: "connected 127.0.0.1:xxxxx".

Now do this in a: Terminal in the: chroot-environment:

Code:
aplay /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav

It should work! =)

Root Unbricking/Unroot/Return to Stock LG Spirit 4G

I have to agree with @ocnbrze , SOL

There are a few possibilities but the chance of success is dismissal at best. I can tell you from personal experience with one on my Samsung Note 4's. I had dm-verity and drk fails. I spent hours, and hours, and hours with no success. Until then, I had always recovered from soft bricking and couldn't face the reality of defeat. After weeks , I give up in frustration. Months later get an idea and try again and stay at it weeks but dm-verity/drk kicked my but every time. It wasn't untill two years that I finally got that phone working again.
