Help Please help to undo whatsapp of new number linked to older whatsapp account

When you want to completely remove all traces of your previous WhatsApp account from a phone, it's not a matter of doing so within the WhatsApp app itself. Go into your Settings >> Apps menu, find and open the WhatsApp app entry, tap on the Force stop button, then find and tap on Clear data, and then tap on Uninstall.
Using Clear data wipes that app's settings and configuration data, along with its cache. With some apps, just doing Uninstall does not necessarily mean everything relative to that app gets wiped. It will remove the executable parts but the config data will be left as is -- i.e. if you reinstall the app later your account info is still retained.
It sounds like you just used Uninstall and then when setting up your new number this created a mix of your two different accounts. Keep in mind your with a lot of online services, like WhatsApp, your account info is primarily stored online (server) and your phone is just fed data to be shown to you (client). Your WhatsApp app still works with whatever data is retained on your phone but it still relies primarily on the constant exchange of data with your online account.

Welcome to Android Forums, MichaelERP! :)

If you want the person who asked the question to see your response, it's best to simply hit the 'reply' button when you're in their thread, and write your response there. Creating a new thread may or may not result in that person seeing it!

Some people 'watch' their threads, and only check those when there's activity in them. They may not ever see a random new thread.

Help Add hotmail email with icon to screen

I have a number of email accounts and have added them all to the Gmail app, each one having its own label for direct opening from a home screen folder.

I have used Gmail since the original Googlemail.com, and in some cases still use that format for sign in on various web sites.

I find Gmail serves me well and does everything I need it to do. I have never had any qualms about using Google services.

Help Low on Space, "System data" huge!

Hey Everyone, I came upon this and have no idea if anyone is still following, but I had the same problem. Couldn't figure out WHY my wife's phone was missing storage. like 5GB! I discovered that even though her Gallery Ap was LITERALLY empty (I had been deleting anything i could think of to create space), the app said it had 6GB of data! Let alone her cache! So I deleted the data and now her phone is fine. Not sure why her phone had data where we had deleted it, also can't believe i missed it as i searched EVERYTHING (according to her app storage analysis she didn't even have that much, it was like 6GB of ghost data or something). But if you are still having this problem check your gallery app in settings.

Unable to remove/transfer apps in /system/ {rooted}

ok well there you go....just use the file manager to locate what you want. just be very careful because some system files when deleted could have adverse effects on your phone. it could cause certain apps to not work and then you are screwed. i would instead look into getting Titanium Backup and just freeze things. this way you will know if certain system apps when frozen will have any effects on your phone or not....then you can delete it.

here is a guide on tb:

New Galaxy S10 and Mobile Number

I got my new Galaxy S10 SM-G937F mobile phone yesterday which I set up and transfer the data over withiy any problems arising. Whilst checking everything I came across this oddity.

Just recently I had my Three mobile number hacked and ported to Vodafone. Three gave me a new SIM and a temporary number while they ported my original number back from Vodafone. Only a few days ago I got my original number back plus 1 £20 bonus because of all the problems..

When I go to Settings/Connections/SIM Card Manager I see that:

SIM 1 is described as Three Mobile, LTE/3G/2G with the mobile number shown as my temporary mobile number. (As it should be apart from the incorrect number)

SIM 2 is shown as blank (As it should be).

The SIM 1 in my mobile works correctly with calls, messages and the internet using my old number.

With wifi turned off texts and calls work OK using the correct, original number and I can use the internet OK

Why is the incorrect temporary number shown and does it matter.

Normally I would have asked Three but recently they have been almost completely out of touch. I am still trying.

Android Apps And Privacy Policies

Well Google has done made me want to be assertive so I'm going to go ahead and rave about privacy for a minute. Today Google Play Store sent me a message saying my app is being rejected because the privacy policy on my website wasn't explicit enough. I've uploaded that app 5+ times without much issue in the past. So I updated my privacy policy I'll include a link at the end of this post but before I do so I want to explain something about programming and privacy. This is pretty simple and I'm calling the internet out on it.
1) I can completely program without collecting so much as a username or password. The only thing I need to identify on the internet is a computer/machine IP address / mac address and maybe a time stamp which is always available unless your computer isn't attached to the internet. Sure you can route the IP address all over the world first for security reasons but I still get a useable IP address if you connect to the internet. I just might not be able to track it to the source machine easily.
2) There really is no need to store any personal information to provide you non-customized information (pictures, text, audio etc.)
3) The only thing any company should be concerned with is what "computer" is sending the information. The only reason they need to know who or what is sitting between the seat and the keyboard is so they can either hold you accountable for the information sent, customize the content for you or target you with customized ads. just to name a few of the popular reasons to be collecting personal information. For as long as the internet has been public these companies have been collecting personal information and I still only occasionally see an ad that interests me. Definitely, the data they have collected isn't serving much of a purpose other than maybe to make a few geniuses on advertising campaigns. Don't get me started on dis-information. I could debate this subject for years to come. LOL
4) I don't need your personal information at all to write you useful software. Take care and all your data is belong to you when you visit Calm Chess Computers

Help No one can hear me properly on phone calls??

Yes, I'm pretty sure my WiFi is an issue because it has cut off when I'm quite a distance from the router- although, as I said above, my voice kept cutting off and couldn't be heard when I used the phone app twice.
I've restarted both and so far a WhatsApp call has been successful.

Hopefully the restarts have cleared it.

My hub allows the creation of a separate SSID for each frequency band so you can select either one.

If your router/hub has the same facility it may be worth trying it in the event that the problem persists. It is something to try at no cost, and depending on the distance, walls and floors between you and the router/hub could possibly make a difference.

If you do try it just check the signal strength on each band in the 'Connected' details. Ideally you want 'Good' or 'Excellent'.
