Well i hate to tell everyone but formatting your card is not necessary. All you have to do is turn your phone off and wipe the cache partition. When you reboot your phone after this process you will have all the data that was on the card back where it belongs. I just did this myself on my s7 edge because something in the update (oreo) caused my sd card to show corrupt. Turn phone off,hold volume up,home,and power keys all at dame time. When android comes on screen release power key, then other keys. Navigate down to wipe cache partition message with volume down key. Select message using power key. When next screen pops up select yes , then select reboot system on following screen. . Phone will restart and you are done. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the manufacturer provides the OS, carriers add crap, remove features, and delay updates(*), as well as locking the phone to their service.

(*) Though bizarrely non-carrier Samsung phones in the US get updates last, the complete opposite of other manufacturers and the Samsung in the rest of the world. I have heard that it's because they don't release updates for those phones until all of the main carriers have approved them, which they regard as less important than their own branded handsets, but can't prove this is true.

All of the sudden this app called MyScript ResourceManager showed up?

This isn't confined to the Note 3. I have it on a J3. It is associated with Cheetah Mobile Cleaner. Both appeared on January 14, and I can't find a way to delete them. They are hidden from the Application Manager. But appear on the data usage list with the change settings option greyed out. They are currently identified as malware (Google search). HELP! How do I get rid of them?

Is your screen appear to have just some streaking on it or is it a matter of there are colored splotches that won't go away?

As you've discovered, using any kind of cleaning solution with ammonia or alcohol is going to have bad effects on the screen. It's OK when it involves bare glass but with plastics, especially with the typical oleophobic treatment that's applied to our phones, using those solvent-type cleaners is definitely not recommended.
Your S10 should have come with a very basic screen protector (thin plastic, not a better glass one):

If the damage is permanent, replacing that included screen protector will a lot cheaper than replacing the screen itself.
If the damage is something you can clean up (use a barely damp, with water, microfiber cloth, or camera lens cleaning sheets), consider yourself lucky. You might want to re-apply the oelopobic coating that was presumably stripped off:

Or get a better, glass protector but do make sure it's a compatible one that's fully functional.

Help Voice To Text Help

Within the last two weeks. I have started having. Issues with my talk-to-text as well. It used to work fine on my Note 8, but when I switched to the Note 10 plus it did not seem to work quite as well. I changed over to the Google Voice to Text engine like I had on the other phone. And it was working better. But then within the last 2 weeks I'm guessing during an update. It has started randomly punctuating and adding capital letters. Even worse than it did before. I am actually doing this with talk to text. Without asking for any punctuation at all, so that someone can see What it looks like? It is very frustrating. Because I use my talk-to-text extensively. When I'm in my car for safety reasons. And I feel like I am correcting it and taking longer to correct it then I would have taken just to type it out by hand. I have already spoken with my Verizon tech coach. Who suggested clearing the cache? In my app which I did and I also turned off automatic punctuation and capitalization and it is still doing it.

Screen mirroring without wifi

Ok my samsung is a trackphone under strsight talk. I live in such a remote area i only get service with this one network, Verizon , and had yo be in a spevific spot or this network looses signal.
I had Hughesnet over 2 years ago with thier shitty sat. Wifi. Cancelledit, . Closest neighbor has secure wifi, nothing avail to me. Well i used to mirror to my roku way back but all that ceased when lost wifi.
Well if i slide down top menu an galaxy it pairs with roku, and shows trying to do thatbwith wifi. Then roku message alert says unable to perform. Latest software not available. Then after 5 seconds a continue anyway button shows and hit ok.... from there my galaxy mirrors every screen texts, anything not in as high resolution but descent... i think its,all riding my lte as no wifi anywhere. Now its problematic but minimally and hell its free.
I mirror 4 , 5 movies a week no problem . Got 65 gig plan... is this common knowledge?????
