You likely have an option in the phone Settings for Location something like "GPS only". That location setting will use only the GPS radio and not use WiFi or cellular data for determining location.

You can't hack a carrier to give you free service. At least not legally.

not surprised really. the fold has been such a huge fiasco. they should move on and call the next foldable phone they put out with a new name.

It may be the athletes striving for recognition and not the country. Whatever, it is a shame. The intense long training is the same if doped or not. That's a huge investment in time and effort to then lose the chance to compete. I hope that the athletes not cited get the chance to participate.

If you get a S9, S10, Note9 or Note10, I'm sure you can use Samsung's Dex Station with those phones, and this has hardware HDMI video out, NO wireless required.

Huawei does something similar as well, with MateDock for their Mate series phones, and that's what I've got. It has hardware HDMI and analog VGA video out, NO wireless required.

These accessories are so you can use your phone as like a PC.

Thanks Kate. I think the "Lock automatically" setting is my problem. The only choice is "immediately" and I have a feeling that's part of the agent my company installs on all phones. Ideally I'd just need to increase that lock time right there but it's not available. I've tried all the other settings. Thanks for the help.

I had similar 'fun' a while back- nursing four very out of date servers producing management reports for a large UK retail chain, three of them failed over a two week period, so one was left running 24/7 to just about keep up. I was working 24 hours straight over Sunday/Monday. I asked the ops manager what I should tell the Chairman if/when the last server failed and he didn't get his Sunday trading summary. He just said 'What do you want' so I gave him an over specified wish list - And he agreed! Funny hoe the money was suddenly available.

If someone has the credentials to your Google account, they can do all sorts of things that might make it appear you no longer have control of your phone. Next time you buy a used phone, first have the seller remove their account to avoid FRP:
1. Remove any PIN or swipe pattern for the lock screen
2. Go into Settings - Accounts and remove all accounts
3. Then factory reset the device.
After that it shouldn't ask for the email and password with Factory Reset Protection.

Someone from Huawei Service replied to my question today and I quote

I looked into it a few months back. Decided it wasn't quite there yet, but don't recall my reason.

For months now sometimes it responds then it does not. If I restart the phone it always works again, but sooner or later it does not.
I happens when I'm at home with WIFI, or on the road using data, when I am sure I am connected on the web, with the Bluetooth switched on or off, after retraining my voice etc etc
I really depend on Google Assistant, but this is driving me crazy, ANY help will be appreciated!

Hi. I have a Hipstreet Phoenix (HS-10DTB12A-16GB) without a bump or scratch on it that I hadn't used in a few weeks so I set it on the charger for a day and then tried to power up and it just brings up the "h" logo then goes black repeatedly. I have tried all the power on tricks (including un-soldering the battery and reconnecting for a hard restart) and am trying to reset the firmware(following an other youtube tutorial) but I cannot find a clean link for this tablet. It appears to have a mother board ID of

Hipstreet CS has never returned my messages. Any other suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you. Rebecca

Agreed after skimming the web that device doesn't use a disabler zip. Flash the device firmware.
