Mobile data toggle

Can't you customise the shortcuts in the notification slide? That's been standard for years on most devices. If you can, check it's not just not one of the options they didn't set by default.

If it's really not an option there are apps you can use to put a toggle on one of your home screens, probably lots of those.

App keeps reverting to previous version

I have a problem where AS installs a version of my app v1.07 onto my phone when it is plugged into my PC (Windows). This is the latest version.
I then generate an APK and copy it to a location on our intranet (since it is local to our company only)
If I then link to the intranet on my phone, and download and install this APK, the app then reverts to v1.06 on my phone.
Initially I thought that AS was not updating the APK, but subsequently I found this not be the case.
On a different phone that had an even older app (v1.04), I linked to this APK and installed it, and it correctly reflected v1.07. So the APK generated is definitely v1.07. I also tested this on a phone that had never had the app previously installed, and it went straight to v1.07 from this downloaded APK.

So back on my phone I went into app settings, and deleted the data & cache, an then uninstalled the app.
I also went to downloads and APK's downloaded, and deleted anything downloaded. I then tried to install the APK again from the intranet link, and it is AGAIN v1.06.

I can't figure out where it is getting this v1.06, but also why it isn't reflecting v1.07 when that is what the APK version is...?

reminder app on android wearable device for standalone use

Hello

I am looking for a wearable device which has a calendar or reminder app that I can use to set up multiple reminders (with text description). I need a wearable that supports a vibrate mode and will vibrate when the reminder is due. I need the reminders to be active when the device is not connected to a phone or other companion devices. I have a Samsung Galaxy 8 phone. So I can sync the device to the phone with any app. But once it is sync'd the reminder has to work in standalone mode on the wearable.

This is for my son. So I guess it has to be sufficiently conspicuous that he isnt conscious of wearing it. :-). I would prefer a touchscreen as well. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.

Thanks
Shiv

Scheduling White Noise

This is something I happen to download, when I was away on one summer trip, I download a White Noise level app, since I have tinnitus (ringing in the ear) that is fairly frequent. I sleep mostly with my air purifyer on, but I did had my phone on the white noise, it was still on this phone, I am using so approx. three summers agoish, it was one of my many first timer apps. It did select different fans and fan settings... It is free for google play :)

Help SM-J327T1 gets Major update today

Very similar phone, Samsung Galaxy J3 Star, model no. SM-J337
I bought it used, unlocked from T-Mobile, phone/data service from AT&T.

I was brutally slammed by an online update from "T-Mobile" and a number of other "issues" although my service is not with them, and the phone is supposed to be unlocked.
T-Mobile's apps and branding cannot be removed from the phone, and certain features remain permanently crippled.
  • No IPv6 support. The device is apparently limited to IPv4 only, or else it's some other issue with AT&T service. I don't know.
  • No Bluetooth tethering, and no file transfer via Bluetooth; Bluetooth functionality remainss crippled and limited to voice call and streaming media only.

Android 10

This.

LG V40 came with Android 8/Oreo so it will (should) get Android 10.

Love my V40 but LG sucks w/updates. Sorry. Wish we could be more helpful.

All good thank you very much! I would just find it stupid if they stopped updating it I mean it's still quite new and there basically no difference between the 40 and the 50... Sooooooo yeah hopefully they'll just hey their asses in gear!

How do I simulate a long press on the middle of my screen?

Hey everyone,

I have a OnePlus 7T phone. I installed Tasker and AutoInput. I'm trying to create a task that will press and hold a large button in the middle of the screen which will remote start my car. I need to hold the button for about 5-10 seconds before letting go.

I have tried AutoInput Gestures with the same x,y coordinates on both the Start and Stop position to create a simulated long press. I've even tried Autoinput Action with Long Press. None of these things have worked.

I would try a Shell script, but I know nothing about it.

Btw, I'm not rooted and don't plan on doing that to my phone.

How can I achieve what I want to do?
