Always-on display turns off

All - I solved the problem, somewhat accidentally. I happened to drop my phone and the impact cracked the screen protector I had on it. The cracked screen protector that i removed was not the type that was contoured to fit the curvature of the screen. I replaced it with one that was contoured to fit the screen and lo and below, my always-on-display started working. Apparently, my old screen protector was somehow fooling my V20 into thinking that it was in my pocket (?), thus shutting off the AOD. All is well now, and I think I'll keep the phone ;-).

Internet lags

not quite sure i understand your issue. are you saying when you use the hotspot feature on your phone to be used on another phone. and that phone the internet works fine. but on your phone with the hotspot turned on, your internet lags? did i get it right??????

if that is the case, then yes that could happen as both are using the same internet connection, thus reducing its speed.

S3 Hardware issues

HI,

so I've bought an S3 from eBay advertised as new.
Obviously it is not the latest model but the phone is charging very slow, which I would not expect with a new phone. (I've also had it only one day)
In addition the browsers are constantly freezing and crashing the phone

When I took off the void sticker, no remnants were left behind to say void.

Is this what I should expect with an old model or is it possibly not new?

TIA
i would also like to add that in this day and age old phones like these are really only good for communication purposes only. most apps these are more robust and requires higher specs. to really have a good functioning phone that can run apps, use the internet as well as make phone calls and texts needs at least 3gb of ram and 32gb of storage.

.......so do not expect out of this phone.

Boot loop...

I still haven't given up hope...

I think I've made some progress.
Despite the phone not being recognized by my computer, I decided to try and use the MTK Flash tool
on my phone.

After some initial hiccups (not working at all) I did manage to flash the original ROM to the phone successfully!

But... there was no life to the phone.
The boot loop was gone and the buttons (On/Up/Down vol.) had no effect on the phone.
Also the charging light still does not come on.

So a successful ROM flash but still clinically dead.

P.S. I should also add, I opened up the phone before the ROM flash and disconnected the non-removable battery but it didn't stop the boot loop at the time, once the battery was re-connected.

USB otg for Moto e5 go...how does it work???

OTG should be plug and play. And a quick check reveals that the e5 Go should support OTG (I'd be a bit worried if any phone these days does not).

What OTG connections have you tried to use? Just in case it's a specific device or app that isn't working.

The weird thing is that I had this exact same phone before and was able to use the OTG functions. I broke that phone and bought the exact same phone and can't get it to work. Mind you it wasn't as simple as plug and play, I had to use developer options to turn on USB debugging and put the USB configuration in MTP. But that isn't working now for this phone. I can't remember if I am missing an important step or if it's some glitch with this new phone?
But I have tried using a OTG cable and a OTG card reader...neither worked.
Thanks for the help!
