root lg k11+ HELP!!

so after looking into the link, please keep in mind that the actual source was from an xda guide that was published in 2015. so i do not know how effective the process will be. here is the original thread:https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3049772

always look to xda for anything root related. it is a developers forum where they post their guides, roms, kernels and recoveries. always do your research there first. your problem is that there is no forum for your device in xda. this means that there is no development community supporting your device. just remember no dev=no fun.

if it was me as soon as i know that there is no dev community to help root the device, i would stop my research right there. the really is no reason to look further. each device has a specific process to gain root. not all device can use the same exploit to root the device as in the days of old. manufacturers and carriers have tighten their grips on the phones they offer.

the main reason i would stop if there are no dev support, is because that means there is no custom recovery. a custom recovery allows you to make a nandroid backup which is like a save point in a video game. if you mess up, you can always restore your backup and it will be like nothing happened. to just root the phone so that you can get rid of bloatware and such is a big risk without a custom recovery. bloatware are apps carriers and manufacturers added to the phone. they are considered system apps. a lot of system apps are tied together so
that if you delete one, you might break another app and possibly soft brick your phone. without a custom recovery, the only thing you can do is flash a firmware update which most likely will unroot your phone.

so i do not think that you will be able to gain root on your device at the moment. you can try the guide @Dannydet linked, but i'm doubtful it will work....but you never know. i highly recommend that you stop looking for a root process for your phone. at least not until there is a custom recovery for your phone.

good luck and keep us posted.

Unroot/Flash stock firmware Galaxy S8

Choose the most recently dated one (2017-08-13), it will allegedly have the most updates. Well at least up until the stated date of the ROM, there 'could' be more OTA updates to come of course once you flash the phone but that's conditional.

Looking at your initial posting, if the current install is just rooted but running a stock Nougat, in the SuperSU app's Settings menu should be a 'Full unroot' option. If it works it should do just that. I've read it works most of the time but that's also dependent a lot on how much other customization to the base OS the user did while rooted. Worth trying and if it doesn't work out you were planning on flashing the phone anyway.

Help Antisocial phone on wifi: talks only to my router, not other devices?

MoodyBlues: It's solved now (dumb quirky router), but I'm nonetheless taking you up on your recommendation and installing a terminal emulator! :)
Excellent! It'll come in handy many times.
(BTW, I've only interacted briefly on this forum, but thanks for being so nice and helpful! :) )
You're very welcome. I hope you hang around!

My note 10+ keeps telling me to check my connection/cable to see if it connected properly but it is

My note 10+ is having a issue when I connect it to my PC, this hasn't ever happened to me before and im getting fustrated to why I cannot simply just connect my phone to my PC and it worked before the cable is fine it shouldn't have any problems and my PC is working just fine so what can I do?

You are far from alone. ALL my devices had that occur. Note 10 too. Switched to braided cable and a month later, same thing. The port on device is money hungry for perfect cables. NO my port is not defective.

LG V30 Long press to move app no longer working after system update

Sounds like the system update changed the way your homescreen is arranged.
You can always install a different launcher from the play store, such as Nova launcher that can do as you wish
FIXED IT! THANKS!

its so weird, not sure what happened. but I downloaded Nova launcher didn't do anything to it i just installed it and go on with my day. later when i opened my phone everything was back to normal. I can long press and move apps now.

I tried to uninstall Nova to see if it was that that did the trick. nothing changed. long press and widget works like normal. weird...

Thanks for the help!!

Root Samsung Galaxy Centura Root (2019)

As some may know, Poot is now unusable to root the device. After lots of time searching and looking, I have found out that baidu root works as a tool to root the device!
Pros:
Rooted Device!
Able to uninstall Google+ app! (Due to it being dead to consumers)
Able to install custom Kernel!
Able to install CWM! (which for some reason, does not work to flash zips due to /sdcard mount error)
Cons:
The whole thing is in chinese
SU Manager is also in chinese (Click the left option on su required apps to accept)

Steps:
1.Download APK here http://baiduroot.net/ (click download for mobile)
2.Launch the app and after it loads, click the banner under the device name
3.wait for it to root
4.Done! If you need to check if its rooted, click the banner again, if a app selection box offers you to share it via SMS and/or other services, you did it!

Root

Some technicalities you should be aware of...

Every phone has at least 2 user profiles by default. There is your default user profile(you) with its own user id(UID). The uid is usually an identifying number like "10104" and name like "u0_a152". Then there's the root profile which you do not have access to by default. The root profile always has a uid number of zero "0".

When you root a phone, all you're doing is allowing yourself access to the root profile(uid 0) that already exists on your phone.

Here are some commands to better understand. You can run these on a non-rooted or rooted phone in an app called "terminal emulator". Just type the command and click the enter key on your keyboard.

These 3 commands only work on modern android versions.
List your uid name:
Bash:
echo $(whoami)

List your uid number:
Bash:
id -u $(whoami)

List the uid number for the root user:
Bash:
id -u root

This command works on all android versions.
List all users and uids not including the root user:
Bash:
id

The above is the underlying information of what root really is.

As for the rest of your questions...
Root is not available for all phone models.
No it's not illegal to root your device, but voids you warranty.
If there is no root for your device, there's nothing you can do to get it.

no internet with data on; display notifications

I just found out that the pre-installed sms app is Google Messageso_O
Thanks to you svim provoking me to find out what it is (never curious enough to know which app my sms has been with different phones). That's why I thought it was Moto E4's problem, for I have been using android phones thinking they being all the same.

I checked the google play store (thanks to you as well). I know which one I would like.

Thank you so very much for all your helps. You have been very thorough and helpful

Need Root Program

welcome to AF!!!!!!!!!!!

so always head on over to xda developers forumto look for anything root related.

here is your device forum there:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j

here is the rom and rooting subforum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j/development

here is a guide for rooting:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j/how-to/guide-samsung-j2-core-2018-sm-j260f-sm-t3959139

make sure to read, read, read, and then read some more before taking that plunge into rooting your device. also make sure your model number matches the guide as rooting is very device specific.
