You can try connecting a trackball or mouse to it, and use that to navigate the screen's choices. You'll need an adapter; which kind depends on which type of port the phone has, micro-USB or USB-C.

Hi! I developed the main activity of my app. On there there is a button which when clicked goes to the Second Activity.

This is my first app, so I needed suggestions on a design issue. I downloaded the Google Play Services because I want to create a real-time locations map on the Second Activity page. The issue is:

1. Should I develop another app with the Google Maps, then link it by including it in the Second Activity.kt code?

2. Should I work with only my first app, where I code a real-time Google Maps into the Second Activity? This by the way on how you do it is a little difficult to search for.

I'm wondering if some sort of kiosk mode would work. I have zero experience with this myself, but I believe they can be used to eliminate access to everything except what the users should have. In other words, the drivers would see nothing but what you want them to see/use.

I vaguely remember a 'family tracking' feature I set up on one of my early Android phones, just for the hell of it. It had to be through Google...a quick search yielded this support page about it. The app is called Family Link, and is intended for parents to control what their children can do--and shows where they are. I don't know about any potential legalities using it for adults. The point really is, though, that this is doable. Maybe not with this app, but doable.

I think I figured out the de-selecting problem. (Key words are "I Think".)
When I moved a keyboard from SD card storage to Phone storage, it seems to stay selected. Well, at least so far...

I have someone in UAE however the thing i am worried about is region sim lock of samsung, exypansys.ae mentions the device is unlocked but there's no way to find out if its region unlocked or not

The service provider said they cannot block the access to the premium message service. They advised me to use the option described in the link I posted above.
Oh well... I hope it works. We'll see.

I don't want to be rude, but you've posted about half a dozen threads worrying about whether normal use will destroy your phone. They are not that delicate: try not to drop it, sit on it or immerse it in water (or other fluids), be wary on a beach (sand and salt water), but otherwise you don't have to worry so much.

what's your budget? if you want to go cheap the tab A is a great device. if you want to the higher end then go with the tab s6. i might save up for one.....maybe a christmas present to myself.

here is the thing, we get this kind of question almost everyday. the only true way to find out what it is, is by looking into the phone's settings under notifications.

with icons there are thousands of possibilities of what app it could represent. factor in web notifications and you have a lot more to deal with.

so the possibility of someone knowing what the icon represents can be hit or miss. most of these threads go unanswered or nothing really comes out of the thread.

so let's cross our fingers and hope someone will recognize the icon.

I get a notice saying cannot use fingerprint. If problem persists reboot phone or contact customer care center. I have rebooted and even done a soft reset.

FWIW your guide was easy enough to follow, better than many how-to's I have read. That said the instructions worked and I was able to reboot the phone 2 times. Now I get a seandroid message and a SET warranty bit : kernel message with it. Needless to say the phone is useless. Add to that I have no backup to restore it to that's my fault.

PS: I have posted my troubles to the forum and am trying to sort it out, just thought you'd like to know of my experience.

Definitely carrier activated but allowed by Google/Android. There was a lot of discussion about it from what I remember. The fact that Google catered to the carriers demand/ Wishes.
I think this was one of the things I found online about it and led me down the rabbit hole to XDA and a lot of other sites

After a factory reset, unfortunately, yes. But as noted, that's the point. Like if you're selling your phone, you factory reset it first, then you know the buyer can't dredge up your data.
