I have a tip for those who updated to Orangefox who want to use this .img file. I was on Lineage 14.1 with Magisk v18. I had Orangefox as the recovery but could not install this as it was not a zip file. I installed the Official TWRP app from Google Play. Then I installed the TWRP 3.3.1 Img using that app. It overwrote the ORangefox recovery and now I have TWRP 3.3.1 and I updated to the Resurrection Remix v7.0.2 with Magisk v19.3 Stable.

I have found a solution for my specific problem. Instead of using a TextView object inside a HorizontalSrollView object to allow me to scroll the TextView sideways, I'm using an EditText object with all of its additional properties removed, save for its scrolling feature:

How to Root my Moto E4

Rooting the device is not recommended. This will void the warranty of the device, and it will limit the support that you can receive.
If u still want to do so try this step
It depends on which variant of the Motorola Moto E4 that you have. The Verizon variant (xt1767), for example, has an unlockable bootloader and cannot be fully rooted. The Sprint, Virgin Mobile & Boost Mobile variant (xt1766) can be rooted with these steps:
  1. Unlock your device's bootloader by using Motorola/Lenova's website and bootloader unlocking support page;
  2. Flash your device with TWRP custom recovery;
  3. Using custom recovery mode, install Magisk v16.0 Systemless Rooting Interface, which is in the form of an archived zip file;
That's all there is to it. Of course, this is only a brief explanation of the steps needed to root the xt1766 Moto E4. Precise instructions and needed files for the job can be found at XDA Developers by searching for Motorola Moto E4 in the search box. Good luck.

yep always first backup everything before doing anything to the phone. nandroid backups are your friend. i would put a copy of the nandroid backup on your pc and even in cloud storage as a precaution.

Help jp5 tablet heat issue

It is hard for me to help him without knowing what apps or settings he can use for optimization of the system like cleaning ram and closing down apps running.

He just learned how to delete music he said, not sure if that says he doesn't know much on device or if it's more the way it has to be done with it connected to kiosk.

We are looking into possibly just getting a second player for him, how would any apps, books, music or what have you be handled (be lost?) Or is it kind of like the play store where he could get them back?

Looking for upper lvl support ( Manager to call) today, they happen to be in a meeting at the time, if no call I will call again and see if they are in a meeting again.

1)over heating and charging issues are most likely be a hardware issue. you can try factory resetting it and see if the issue persists. if it does then it is a hardware issue.

2)just have him reboot the tablet from time to time. this will clear cache and even ram

3)if you get another device as long as you sign in using the same google acct, all your app, music, and book purchases will sync up and you will not loose those.

4) not sure what you are talking about as far as lvl support and managers, but i hope they help you.

Pair them and then go into the Bluetooth settings for each device. Select only Calls or Handsfree for the headset, and only Audio or Media for the speakers, that should do it. The music might still stop during a call, that depends on app settings and how all the connected devices work with each other.

A workable solution is to install a firewall app like NetGuard or Mobiwol, which allows a user granular control on how apps get online access through WiFi and through mobile data (although this won't block phone calls or SMS as those use basic cellular connectivity). Then it would be just a matter of enabling/disabling the firewall when appropriate. But I didn't bother suggesting it as it involves a considerable amount of set up on the user's part (picking which apps get WiFi and get mobile data access), something the OP specifically doesn't want to do.

I actually meant what MoodyBlues picked up. "dirty-and-down" forcing every app to the same default for everything regarding notifications. It actually could go both ways though, disabling every notification and then cherry picking every one where I want to get notifications like messenger, sms and cellular apps or the other way around where everything is on "popup mode" and makes a sound and vibrates and then I cherry pick everyone of them which I don't want to hear. But right now every app has it's own initial setup picked by the dev. So really what I want is to reset them ALL to one and the same state and then change them from there :) I'm aware of airplaine mode and do not disturb but those are like you said only something you use over a certain period of time but what I want to do should stay permanently :)

Yes I understand that there is no big demand for something this deep-going hahah I just want to make my android "perfect" You know, the average Joe would just mute a certain app if it makes some special notification which you don't want but I am aiming for not even having to get it in the first place and knowing when I pick up my phone what apps are going to give me alerts with a certain pattern like vibrating and making a sound.

Well well, then I'll be going through all my apps and setting them to my pattern and then picking the ones which should alert me afterward when everything is set to the same :)

Help Problem with setup

I use the Nexus 4 and I decided to update my phone because it hasn't been updated in like 2 months, I went to go update it and after the update it was very slow. It kept telling me 'Google play services has stopped working' it would just spam that. So I decided to wipe my phone to see if that was the issue. After I wiped my phone, I get to the setup part for your phone and I'm still getting the 'google play services has stopped working' I go on with the setup and I setup my internet, then after the internet I get to this setup part called 'Tap and go' I click skip on it because I don't need that. Once I click skip it just brings me back to the internet setup, I click next on the internet setup then it will just bring me back to 'Tap and go' It will just be an endless loop of me on this, I cannot get passed 'Tap and go'

In-app purchases - pricing approach

I was wondering what people’s thoughts are on the most effective pricing model for in-app purchases. Do you think you would make more money from pricing items individually and cheaply or bundling all items together for a larger price?

I’m thinking of in-app purchases for cosmetic things such as different color schemes, avatars etc where you could offer $0.50 per color scheme, or unlock all 10 for $2.00 for example.

I think for gaming apps, the little and often approach to unlocking new levels, vehicles etc would certainly win, but I’m less sure with a less ‘addictive’ app.
