That's a great idea, but has this been made public so everyone knows they can submit news? For sure if it's to be a success there needs to be a authentication system enabled so that new news items do not just post immediately, this will stop users posting support threads through the news system and spam.

The spam is harder to crack down on automatically, apart from the systems already in place.

Hopefully users don't use this section for support, but if so mods will move to correct place. But it just hasn't been used much so far.

An important note: Some exported apps works successfully without Tasker if the screen of the phone is on (surely if it can work when screen is on in Tasker before exporting).
Explanation1: Recently I have created a project. The aim of it is to open the flashlight without need to unlock the phone. Just by gestures. The project works successfully in Tasker. But after I'd exported it as an app and disabling Tasker. The app doesn't work.

Explanation2: My flashlight project is designed to run when screen is off. But to check my note I've edited my project to run when the screen is on in Tasker. Then after editing the project and checking that it runs in Tasker while the screen is on. I 've exported the project as an app then I've disabled Tasker. Then I 've installed the app. The result that the app runs successfully without Tasker while the screen is on.

The problem is: some  exported apps don't work after exporting them as apps while it works in Tasker successfully before exporting them.
Notes:

1: I have used the Always on Screen, always on with my S8, family members S9, and on my S10. It DOES NOT severely drain the battery, it is designed to be "always on", hence the name... To tap the screen to see the info displayed defeats the entire purpose. The things that I want to see when glancing over at my phone are: the time, temperature, and battery level and notifications, if I had to tap the screen all the time to see these it would drive me crazy (OK, crazier). The "AOD" moves slightly to prevent burn in.

Exactly: you've no idea how messy iOS's filesystem is because they hide it from you. So in that respect you can get a iOS-like experience on Android just by not looking - but with Android you have the choice.

most emails are not stored on your device. they are stored on a email's server.....so you do not have to worry about space

Just to confirm.
- Copy a small directory of 8 mp3s to sdcard/music/
- Check it does not appear in the media database and is not visible in music players
- Reboot phone
- Wait a couple of minutes
- It does now appear in the media database

- Copy another small directory of 8 mp3s to internal/music/
- Check the media database and media players and confirm that the files are immediately visible

So the media scanner is run in background after a reboot and does scan the SD Card. But it doesn't run and scan files after a file copy to the SD card. However, it does run and scan after a file copy to the internal memory.

I'm not sure about local GPS quries I just saw in my news thread that google was limiting the number of times you can query GPS. The article said vaguely something about finding locations inside buildings.

I have only seen those from web pages where you have to pay for the software. Now whether they work or not is another question.
