I know I must be an idiot. If I weren't I wouldn't have gotten another Moto G Stylus. I hate that it's the sucky newer kind with that smashed in power button where it's supposed to stick out, but it's almost impossible to tell from the pictures. I wish there were some way to force them to go back to the right way. This one was working just fine until today. Now it's done the boot loop thing three times. I'm probably lucky it's working right now. No, it's not the charge because it was almost full, and storage is at less than half, not to mention that I have plenty sd. Is there some fatal flaw with these things? Why can't we get a phone with a lot of internal storage, high sd caoacity, and a removable battery? Maybe if enough of us loudly demanded it, it would finally happen.

Can i have 2 totally separate google accounts?? Not email accounts, i know how to do that but each of my gmail accounts is like part of my main google account. I want to have a totally seperate main google account, with its own email addresses because i have 2 phones and dont want anything from my existing google account to be on my new one. When im trying to set it up, it obviously wants my google account info, but i dont want it linked to my existing one. Im sorry if i sound a bit vague, but its confusing me. I know that they say you can have as many Google accounts as you want,, by just creating another one in your google account. But thats just making one as part of the existing one isnt it? Help please, its driving me mad.

Can it be done? I was going to skip Nook, but I realized I have some things with them that I would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Therefore, I have somewhat reluctantly downloaded the apk. What I like about Nook is especially the shelving and that they are not goohoo or amesson. Also there are no ads. Downsides are mainly no support for files other than epub and pdf, and apparently no way to download covers. Right now I am trying to use mainly Librera, but it has ads and a bit of a problem with covers. Most of them are ok but some could use work. Instead of shelves they seem to have playlists (!?). I had been struggling with sufficientlysecure.viewer, unfortunately too frustrating for me. Moon+Reader was good, especially for cover downloads, but then it somehow kept getting stuck on individual books, and once again, ads.

Hey everyone, still love this forum and the information everyone helps provide! Just hoping to get a few things organized my end if possible, as I recently bought the Samsung Galaxy A02s with Android 11, and in tweaking it, found a few things either not there or somewhat wonky.

One issue I would love to fix is how fickle the lock screen notifications \ media controls are… Whether it’s the SiriusXM app or my podcast player, it doesn’t stay on the lock screen long and or will stop showing up after a few minutes or randomly.

Another thing that would be great is betting the volume slider back on the top pull down taskbar \ menu… Like in older versions of Android, where you could have it set right above or below the brightness slider. I tried a few third party apps and nothing comes as close.

This is hardly mission critical, but it would be great to get the clock back on the right side. To just have that option taken away is annoying at the least, and even though I found a third party app to make it disappear, I’d still like to have it if possible.

Finally in trying to update \ add images to my contacts, whether I go through the contacts app itself or use another one, it keeps saying: “No apps available to perform this action.” Hope this isn't all too on the nose, but y'all tell me and thank you for the help!

When I plugin my Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and then select recovery module and it show as connected and then I select android data recovery option and then select recover documents only and then click next. Then it show and detected device model, downloading package and it went like that till 99% uncertain if it hit 100% or not and then it caused my device to reboot and after it reboot now it is asking for a password to start up device but I tried device screen password, google account password and samsung account password but all didnt work. Thus it shows have 7 attempts left before factory reset itself.
The boot up looks a bit different from normal too, unsure if it is coming through a different type of boot and if there is a way to reverse to how it was earlier?

In recovery mode it shows in recovery log pid 2064 ran. where first line filesystem table code was;

From what I could see further in log it seems like maybe dr fone tried to root phone since I see files seem to have been overwritten probably as same file name shown where earlier recorded in time stamp as either 2017 or 2008 and underneath that dst is run with today tim stamp.

What would be method to solve to get back to normal working state without any data loss?

Recently Facebook updated for me when using chrome on my s20fe, but having done this it's not working as it used to and I'm hoping for a fix?
1. When reading a post/thread previously you could select view all replies and scroll through the thread. But now if you select view replies it opens in its own window which is now very tedious.

2. It is no longer possible to longpress open in new tab thus us very Usefull when needing to keep an eye on a specific thread.

It seems like the chrome Web mobile version looks and acts like the app which in particularly don't like and is why I use the browser, fifrefox still seems to work OK but I do prefer to keep using if there's a solution to these issues..

Hello. I have an old game on my Samsung S9+ called "Necto". I enjoy playing it from time to time. The game is no longer available in the app store, but it still works fine on my phone. My phone is almost 4 years old, and I am probably going to start thinking about a new one in the near future. Since the maker of the game has taken it off of the play store, is there any way I could put it on a new phone? (Again, I'm only asking now for the info. I haven't bought a new phone yet, but sooner or later I obviously will.)

EDIT: The game was made by a company (or person) using the name "Fat Pingu". It's hard to catch, because it only flashes very quickly when the game first opens, but the logo is a cartoon penguin eating a fish while using a cell phone/tablet.

Would you use your s22 ultra as a mobile hotspot? Think the phone could stand up to 3 or 4 other devices always connecting through it? Had a bb key 2 burn up because of over use as a hotspot.

I just had an unbelievable thing happen on my phone. Every sound byte in almost every app including the default settings changed. So every alert, my ringtones, email etc, etc were changed from my normal sound bytes to a 4 digit number that wasn't on my phone (at least I can't find them) and had no sound. I went through all the apps that had sounds that I could remember and corrected there notifications. Anyone else have this happen any any idea why? It was a real pain trying to fix them all and I'm pretty sure I missed a few. I did some research after the fact and a few places said that restarting the phone might have fixed the problem. Too bad I didn't do the research first. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've been stuck with a problem for a while now and it's about the good Android Virtual Devices (AVD) or the emulator that comes with Android Studio.
For some time it has been possible to specify a front and rear camera for a virtual device under "Advanced Settings" (on the last page when creating an avd or simply when editing a device that has already been created). There are Virtual (a 3D world in which you can walk around with the camera), Webcam0 (which should actually use the host system's local webcam) and Emulated which displays a software-generated image when the camera is opened.

Now to my question: How do I somehow get it to display a self-stored image in the camera and - even more important! - being able to change this image dynamically (i.e. not having to restart the whole emulator every time.
I've already tried it with OBS and the VirtualCam software (which the Android emulator doesn't seem to like at all though). I have also tried in the virtual 3D world to simply always exchange the image locally on my computer (however, the emulator only loads it once into the cache when it starts and then ignores any changes made to the file).

Now I only have 3 options:
1. I somehow manage to do that with a virtual camera software
2. I manage to update the image in the 3D world (which is possible because with the AVDs you always have a settings menu on the side and if you change the path of the image there, it is actually updated or
3. I'm learning how to write my own Android software image just to change this stupid software generated video (actually I wouldn't want to)

I really hope I can find help here because I've really been stuck on it for ages and have no idea how to solve it now

I have been getting text and voicemail delays. Texts from some individuals will come in normally. But then I will get a slew of them, some as much as a month old. It's as though they are being held, stuck on the tower.

It is becoming such a problem that it is causing me to lose business, and is affecting my livelihood - so I now have monetary damages and have cause to sue - but I'd rather just fix the problem.

Has anyone else had this issue, and successfully remedied it?

Straight talk was sold to Verizon and are in the process of turning off all other users on ST except Verizon users > If you are an ATT or any other tower user, you will start having phone problems. They sent us (two users) emails and voice mails as well as texts that our phones were going to be shut off because they were not 4g phones (they are). We brought out older phones and put the sim cards in and guess what? They work just fine. They (ST) still hit one of the phones so far repeating the same thing. I called a number and got their recording saying there was a problem with the phone and were checking it. It is back on. I am paid up till April 18 and 17 respectively. It is back on now. Verizon will never be our provider or ST. I hope this helps someone. BTW I was not able nor was ATT store to port our old numbers to the new phones from ATT. ST locked the numbers down and did not let us port them. We have had ST for years and this is the way they did loyal customers ...

On my Galaxy S7 running Android 7.0 I have the option to put all information into a form field that I have used in the past in the same or similar fields, e.g name and and email address. On my other Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0 I cannot do this.

Is there an option to enable it anywhere? Which app handles this?

I have a Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955F) with Android 9.
It's no longer in full use but my daughter managed to delete some files that she is desperate to retrieve, (relating to a friend who passed last year) so the info is more important than the phone to her.
I looked at rooting but can't find any info that seems to succeed in doing so, plus a lot of the rooting apps are full of adware (and other things), so all fraught with danger/risk!
Is it even possible to root the S8+ on And 9?
I am aware of the dangers of Rooting but I'd like to at least try. It was a UK purchase running a service from EE, (MVNO).
Is it possible to retrieve deleted files (SMS, photos, WhatsApp) without rooting?
Any pointers please?

I have sniffed it's traffic and got URL's from that sniffing which i have blocked via nextdns.io and adguard but still app is working. If there is anyone who have got time to help me then please review the app code of Bigo and guide me what else am i missing to block it's working on my home network. I am providing URL list which i have blocked and still unsuccessful. These URL were came in sniffing logs via httpwatch and noxplayer.

I recently updated my S10+ for the first time in 2 yrs. Now that the updates are all done, I'm having issues that my carrier says are not related to their service. The issues are:

1) I can only text 144 characters at a time. In the old days before you could text whole paragraphs, if your text went over the allotted amount, it simply broke it into two texts. Now, if I go over 144, it won't send the message at all.

2) I am unable to send/receive ANY media files. Yesterday I received an error msg stating "Attachment limit reached" while trying to send a standard gif. I do not come anywhere near my monthly data limit on my phone, and have currently used only 1/3 of my alloteed data.

3) The microphone cuts off in the middle of a verbal text
EDIT and also automatically activates when starting a new text.

I have contacted the carrier, troubleshot w/them over the phone, and visited a local store where a tech could have hands on w/my phone.

Can anyone explain what's going on and why these basic functions have been throttled.

As well as using the Pixel 6 fingerprint scanner to open my phone, I had two app (LastPass and Toyota apps) that had a biometric in their apps that allowed me to open them using the phone's fingerprint scanner info. When I tried yesterday, neither app will open using their fingerprint biometric (while the phone still opens using the fingerprint scanner). My last update was March 5th and the app sign-on was working after the update. Does anyone have any idea how to remedy this situation?

I want to replace the SD card on my phone (LG K20 Plus) with one with more capacity. I expect in orderto copy everything to the new card I'll have to download the albums, music, pictures and document files to my computer, replace the SD card and then upload everything back up to the phone. Am I missing some other way to accomplish this?
