I'm hoping it'll fit somewhere on that ledge between the Civic's steering wheel and speed gauge area. Not sure if it'll work though.

My chick has a Toyota Corolla, so we'll see which one she wants for her car and I'll use the other one.
It sounds like you got the Mini Grip, because I know for a fact that the Mega Grip doesn't block the USB port.I bought the Arkon one that connects into the lighter. I really, really like it. The only problem is the little grabber things that hold the phone on the sides covers the usb port. I have to raise my phone up about 1/4" off the bottom support to be able to plug it in. Not that big of a deal because it is very secure when the grabbers are holding it-- it doesn't budge.
Just thought I'd give a head's up if you were considering purchasing one.
Arkon's customer service is really good. If you call them and explain your issue, they might replace your Mini Grip with the Mega even though it's been a while. Doesn't hurt to give it a try.
