This is the problem with IRC (again) There is an easy way to completely remove voodoo now that doesn't require Odin or wiping three times and doing a headstand.

All you have to do is disable V5 and then flash the 1129 NoVoodoo kernel. (the one on redrum chaos is mislabeled and won't work) Doing that will remove Voodoo and the red CWM.

What ever happened to D13 he used to write this stuff up? :confused:

sorry I don't know why Odin isn't working for you

What do you do for work Dave? Are they giving you anything to hold you over or just putting you all out on the street?

The good news you have several weeks to completely screw off at work... What are they going to do fire you? :rolleyes:

the removing v5 has been discussed a lot at length in this post...your right though writing up a quick how to as a separate post might be useful

Im manager/shipping clerk over shipping and recieving. As far as what I have heard they are saying well hopefully you can get unemployment. So i guess that means nothing... but as long as unemployment is enough with my wifes pay Im going to try to go to school for possibly web development..local tech school offers associates for it. So yea looking forward :D

Yeah but I see people all over still trying the old voodoo2 removal method. I was in IRC and some one asked about removing it and when I said All you have to do is flash 1129 they were shocked and there was like 4 or 5 people just lurking waiting for instructions on how to remove it but no one would answer them. :mad: As soon as I started helping one they came out of the wood work.

I was like the voodoo remover hero! :D

I differently have a love hate thing going with IRC.

Well good luck with your new career! That web thing (JAVA) will be handy for phone hacking also! we may see you writing kernels or AOSP ROMS in a few years;)

good point, i always assume people keep up with what is going on from time to time, until you see posts in irc like "yo how is everyone liking this lagfix i found in the market!!". so yeah more information posted in an easy to find manner is always good

I'm mostly on hate. Geez, the attitudes there are unbearable.

However, thanks for this tip -- I've just grabbed a copy of 1129 novoodoo just in case. ;)

yes irc can get nasty at times, but a lot of that has to do with the jerky questions and comments people ask, or the lack of their ability to follow directions.

but i can see the reason why many want to avoid it :)
