Can anyone take a shot of the three keyboards mentioned above. I wanna see what they all look like prior to doing anything. Thanks in advance.

Yeah no problem. I also made it in an update.zip style at the bottom of that page
I think you misunderstand. I'm not saying that its not overclockable (if thats a word ) I'm just saying that the fabs scripts for overclocking from apex 1.022 aren't included in this rom. I would prefer not to have to pay for an app if I could just tap out a few commands in the terminal
su
sys -rw
cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock.ko /system/lib/modules
cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock /system/bin
cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock.sh /system/xbin
chmod 644 /system/lib/modules/overclock.ko
chmod 755 /system/bin/overclock
chmod 755 /system/xbin/overclock.sh
sys -ro
overclock

I have been away from using my Droid X for a while because the lack of custom roms and resorted to using my Evo regularly. My PC broke and wont connect to the internet so I cant download the latest SBF but before I was able to SBF with 2.3.15 or whatever it was that I was able to download. All I have is my Mac now which wont work with RSD and SBF. Im rooted and on the 2.3.15 leak and I never accepeted any OTAs and Im on Fission 2.2. Would it be best to SBF back to to 2.2 then try and OTA up to the latest and reroot then apply Apex? Thanks
I think this was already answered, but in case it wasn't:
OK, I finally got an update.zip put together for the Glowing Circle Battery on ApeX.
It is the entire framework-res.apk from ApeX 1.3 with the circle battery icons instead of the GB ones. So if you have a theme over ApeX (or any changes to the framework) it will put it back to normal ApeX 1.3 with the circle battery
Install this just like any other update.zip
download ApeX_Circle_Battery.zip
bootstrap recovery
install zip from sdcard
choose zip
ApeX_Circle_Battery.zip
reboot
no need to wipe anything
as always make a backup just in case! but this works perfect on my phone
Enjoy Folks!
Thanks I'll give that a shot.Yep, that's probably the best way to keep it all official and get all of the updates (kernel, radio, bootloader).
Then, in terminal:
Code:su cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock.ko /system/lib/modules cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock /system/bin cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock.sh /system/xbin chmod 644 /system/lib/modules/overclock.ko chmod 755 /system/bin/overclock chmod 755 /system/xbin/overclock.sh overclock
Fab, noob here. how do i change to -r/-rw? no chmod bc its read only. and dangit why is there no how-to sticky on adb pushes?! that little bit of code is worth 10 minutes of typing!

ok i downloaded the zip then moved it to the apex folder then extracted it ,is this correct fab?i just keep getting no such file or directory even after setting a path for /sdcard/ApeX/oh damn! I forgot about that! it's really easy with my sys script though, the instructions above should be changed now![]()

thanks again fab i like doing this by script even if the app is easier very cool ......is there a quick command to get back into the script or do we have to write the whole set of scripts in terminal every time we want to change out numbers?I guess what I meant was the three files in the archive in the Apex folder need to go into /sdcard/ApeX
wow i cant even handle 1.15 lv

awesome thanksMine can't either
Also, after installing via that huge wall of text above, the next time you want into the overclocking script, you just need to type:
su
overclock
Wanna try something for me? I've been using this script for a while now and it will be a part of 1.3.1.
Download the .zip attached and extract the contents of the ApeX folder onto your sdcard/ApeX
Then, in terminal:
Code:su sys -rw cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock.ko /system/lib/modules cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock /system/bin cp /sdcard/ApeX/overclock.sh /system/xbin chmod 644 /system/lib/modules/overclock.ko chmod 755 /system/bin/overclock chmod 755 /system/xbin/overclock.sh sys -ro overclock
have fun![]()
When I try to run Quickoffice I get a "File cannot be opened." error.
I choose quickoffice, Quickword, Create New Document, then Word Document then I get that error.
Any ideas?
I had the same problem. Flash the hotfix from ApeX 1.2 - worked like a charm.
