2-24-11 release date

Great news! Does that mean that if BB gets them on the 21st (from their inventory system) that they will have to sit on them until the 24th?
 
they may be able to sell them early since im pretty sure the street date was the 14th, not the 24th, but that will be dependent on the BB
 
So... how might I be able to get my upgrade date moved up to 2-24-11 from 3-8-11 without calling 17.4 times to get the right CSR...
 
ill try and get a screen shot but theres a lot on info that needs to be cut out.

2-24-11 from 3-8-11 may be tricky since we can usually only push forward 7 days. best bet would be to call CS a few times and hassle them. also check with your local indirect store, their channel support can sometimes be more helpful then direct customer service.
 
Persistence! I had a BB employee call, I called 3 times but finally on-line chat that ended with "you will get a call from someone from the leadership team within 24 hours"... the call never came and I called VZW again and was pissed, they keep the chat logs so they were very apologetic and fixed it for early upgrade. BTW: I was due in June and they did not change the date they did something that appeared on-line as "transfer upgrade to different phone" but it showed as eligible in the BB system afterward.
 
Thanks for the info. This entire launch has been extremely frustrating compared to the phones launching on AT&T. My question is if Verizon will still offer the 1 year contracts on this phone. I was offered a promotional discount on my data plan if I signed up for a 1 year contract and am also eligible for my NE2. If not I might as well go with Verizon and get their buy back program.

I'll try and debunk anything tonight when I go check all my resources.

We did get a new case in last night, so best buy, at least mine, has 3 now.

I've heard of Android Guys, they are a pretty good blog... However they useually back up their rumors with screenshots or links... I'm not buying this one from them.

Droid Life's sources "all over the place" are Droid Attic and Droid Guys... :rolleyes:

Really, I heard it from Droid Life that they heard it from Droid Attic, that they heard it from Droid Guys, that they heard it from Android Forums, that they heard it from Droid Life...
