I take it you've seen my profile - then add in this job.

If somebuddy in another forum hadn't tipped me, I'd have probably never known.

So it looks like Sprint will almost certainly be moving to LTE:
Sprint talks seriously about LTE, suggests it could complement WiMAX -- Engadget
Sprint Looks Poised to Enter an LTE Future - PCWorld
The official word is it's being considered, but reading between the lines of the Sprint exec in the source interview it seems certain.
So it might explain why the Echo is only 3G, and also might delay an Evo 2.
Maybe the Echo will come with LTE but they couldn't tell anyone yet?
Been waiting for one of these. Lets vent
1)Stereoscopic 3D Display
2)960x640 SuperLCD/qHD display
3)1900-2000mAH battery
4)Gingerbread
5)Dual Core 1.2 gHz Snapdragon
6)Maybe larger screan 4.4-4.5
7)Dolby Surround Speaker
8)Fingerprint Scanner
9)Some high power GPU... lol
10)Gyroscope
11)DLNA support
12)Dual forward facing cameras?
13)Kickstand that works well in portrait mode lol
So does that mean our Evos won't work on the future sprint 4g? If that is the case, seems like a good way to piss off a lot of customers. Surely they would offer a discount on a new phone, or something.....
Well Clear has said all along that they could easily convert to LTE in the future if they choose to go that route. So if Sprint goes to LTE, I would be utterly shocked if Clear didn't go that route with them. Sprint already knows what a huge blunder it was to try to run an iDEN network and a CDMA network at the same time. I can't imagine them making that same mistake with LTE and Wimax. As I said in an earlier post, since wimax works on Clear towers the current 4g phones will not be obsoleted. That is unless Clear completely goes under and takes the towers with them.
Wow that looks like a must have! Thanks for posting! You know - we have a lot of requests for stereo speakers, and I get that.
At the risk of a fellow mod removing this for being off-topic - until we get that on the Evo 2 - I think I'd like you all to know how truly cool these very small spheres are -

They're inexpensive, one sounds great - you can daisy-chain them - and they pack a VERY surprising little whallop for a small size. They've become the darling in our offices, and you can find them on Amazon.

I like the idea of it, but apparently it's kinda ghetto if you read some reviews.Back to the wants, I am liking this docking station the Atrix has, an Evo 2 version would be awesome!

Just because moto did a bad job implenting, doesn't mean the concept is ghetto. It's the path all mfgs should be heading down with their premium phones.
I agree. I hope the Evo 2 has docks like the Atrix.
I think there should be some sort of bluetooth protocol or something so these docks could be wireless and universal.
Anybody know if motorola has any patents on that?
The Atrix docks are not wireless. The phone actually sits in it.
There have been plenty of phone docks over the years, so I doubt Motorola has a patent on it.
