Awesome LOL. :D

I don't mind the heated arguments. You'll have to deal with that in real life too. I learned a few things along the way. Everyone here is great. The AF DX section is full of the most informative, thoughtful helpful people I've met on any forum. :)

I agree completely, I have what...two posts? But anything i have ever needed I have found on this site here. Everyone is so helpful and wonderful. I just hope the news doesn't stop people from working with the X and developing new roms etc till it is "shut down"

My roomie wasn't too happy when I told her that she is being watched by Big Red, but hey...she thought my GB was pretty and wanted it, really what could I have done.

I like that Drew Garen is getting some love now after the initial errrr...
Anyway, his stuff has been consistently good since the early froyo days.

I'll tell you what. With all this drama over the weekend, I did my first SBF after running GB for the last several days (Crazy, but I just haven't had to yet) and flashed a fresh Fission 2.6.1. I am almost all set up and taking a break.

I will be back, but need to stay away for a while. Think I will get a tablet and tinker with one of those for a while; leaving my DX running smooth, stock Fission....

I want to thank Bo, Faber, Trooper and Steven for all the info, coaching and person mods! See you all around soon!
 
Ok, sorry if this has been already asked in this thread, I got to reading through all of the OP thread on the other forum and just getting to finishing up on this one.

Question, if you have an X and you are still on Froyo, then there shouldn't be any problem, at least for the moment. i.e. no tracking stuff or software in it that can tell VZW if you're phone is rooted and/or using wireless tethering?

So, basically if we stay on Froyo (2.2.1), then we are safe for now? All the new crap is in the GB release?

Again, all of this are questions...just trying to say it correctly.

According to P3Droid, as soon as you rooted, Gingerbread, Froyo, or whatever, it was over.

Actually no...quite the opposite...according to P3 if you're rooted...they know... Froyo, Gingerbread...doesn't matter...

Not if your TBolt is rooted...I see no reason for VZW to be monitoring a single device...unless it was requested by Moto...

here, mines the opened one, if your over 21 the closed ones for you, pop the top, sit back and enjoy.

That's exACtly how I felt. I'm back on it. It is so far superior, for me, that I can't go back without going into a withdrawal. I just love the way it goes horizontal!

One of the things I hated about GB was that it was portrait only, the apps would go landscape but not the home screens. I guess it was a messed up install, I may try again soon and see if the other problems I had are still there (mainly the way my tabs in the browser would reload so often and It was impossible to fix text in forum post without deleting it all and retyping)
