Root [AllianceROM][r7.7] HybriD 3D

7.4 is up for King's Alliance. He put in the panoramic camera and it's all wrapped up into one camera.

Checking out 7.4 now. Already like it better than MikG 2.15 and am really liking the font size though it is pretty small. Netflix is working great but Hulu isn't (for me anyway.)

Still not sure I like it better than Kingdom Revolution...unless it turns out the battery rocks though it doesn't appear to be any better so far. I'll. Give it another day or two before I feed my new addiction once again!

Yeah, Hulu didn't work for me initially. Luckily I had the "Hulufied" Flash apk on my sd card and Hulu works for me now. It's in the XDA forum but I can't find it right now.

Damn...I went home for lunch and downloaded the rom of course the dl was very slow. It finally downloads and I transferring it to my sd card then I notice I had redownloaded 7.3

My wife was pissed, because all I did was come home get something to eat and sit in front of the computer reading the change log while the rom downloaded...turns out I was getting the stink eye from her for no good reason...I DOWNLOADED THE WRONG verison...

Oh well...what are ya gonna do?

Can someone help me put this on my Evo. I got a replacement phone from Sprint and have NOT updated to Gingerbread, I am running 2.2. I used Unrevoked3 on my last Evo before I had to send it in.

What do I need to do to put this on my phone? Can I put it on my phone even if I am not rooted? I know this is simple to some but I am trying to figure this out. Can someone walk me through what I need to do.

Thanks in advance.

you need to root again. if you still have 2.2 then you should be able to run unrevoked again.

then, before you do anything else, make a backup.

after you get s-off and your custom recovery, you can flash this just like any other rom (d/l zip to sd card, hold volume down + power to boot into your bootloader, select recovery, flash zip from sdcard, reboot)

Thank you. I have been looking for the answer for a while. I will root again with unrevoked. Do I make a backup of my apps or the whole software? Also on the instruction it says to Wipe data/factory reset, Wipe cache and Wipe Dalvik cache, can you tell me how to do this to make sure I do it right.

Thank you for your help.

Day 2 on 7.4 was a bust so I just flashed back to CM7. Battery life was AWFUL today and I don't think this is better than Kingdom's so I'm gonna hang tight for b1.4 of that. Hope the rest of you have better luck!

you will need to back up your apps if you have data that you desperately don't want to lose, but you need a third party app like titanium backup to do that. but you should really only do it for things like games where you don't want to lose your place, as this is a different operating system (2.3 vs 2.2) and the rom itself is ported from a different device, so you want things as clean as possible to begin with. You can always reinstall all your apps from the market after flashing.

when you first go into recovery, there will be a menu of options. scroll down to backup/restore and backup your stock rom. you will need this in case anything goes wrong. after the backup (or nandroid) is finished return to the menu and now select wipe data/factory reset. after it's done go back and select wipe cache partition. you can do this a few times if you want to make sure everything is gone.

(you can also use a seperate zip file like the attached vr superwipe that will wipe everything for you three times automatically. just d/l the file to your sd card and select install zip from sd from the top menu in clockworkmod)

after your phone is clean, choose install zip from sd, scroll down to the kings rom zip and flash it. reboot and you're done.

I love so many features of this ROM but I think I am going to flash something else. I am getting tired of seeing the white Evo boot screen every time I switch between applications. Not a long time, but waiting 5-10 seconds can be frustrating when you plan on making a quick switch from task to task.

Interestingly I have noticed that I can receive my email from yahoo with the built-in mail app on the lock screen, even though I have not had success getting my email since I updated to GB.

- Currently on 7.3. Anybody have 7.4 that can tell me that the white boot screen has been fixed?

Thanks for the info. I am now having trouble with the replacement phone that Sprint sent me. When I plug it in the computer I get a error "USB not recognized" I have tried different cables and on different computers, downloaded HTC Sync just for the drivers, reset the phone and nothing is working. I am taking it to Sprint to see what they can do. I hate Sprint replacement phones, something is always wrong with them.

I didn't experience that on 7.4 but I did with Kingdom REVOlution until I downgraded my PRI from 1.90 to 1.77. You might try that if you have one of the newer PRIs.

i would not do it, it could mess up the flashing of the rom. i mean you can try it and see. it wont ruin your phone or anything but it could mess up the rom. just make a nandroid backup before trying it. i always do the full wipe before flashing anything. i'm just paranoid though. i had issues with cwm not wiping very well and caused me a lot of heatache when i first rooted. and so i always wipe and wipe and wipe before flashing any roms.

yeah i just put my big boy pants on and backed up my apps and then wiped everything including my nose. then ran kings mod format all and installed the newest stock. which is amazing by the way. wifi all night over night and still at 70% not to shabby

The rom is very stable...the few issues I had with previous builds is now gone. I was having issues with the bookmark widget crashing my bookmarked page on the first launch, that is no longer an issue.

The only big issue I *had* with 7.6 was the mobile networks option menu would crash, but I asked King about it and he made a flashable fix. Works awesome now!
