Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Folks, feel free to install #33 if you're looking to give your DroidX an ass kicking.

I went this whole entire time from build#0 with ZERO reboots, and
now my DX randomly reboots.
Build #33 also ate my battery life faster than a Thunderbolt.
Just an fyi, the torch is NOT officially fixed as some may have read in the Changelog.
The Shadow has been added to the list of support for it, it seems.
I flashed back to build#25 just as a precaution, and all is well again.

Same here been on 33 for 2 hours and 9 minutes and no reboots and with moderate use battery is down to 90%.

What was killing your battery? A couple weeks ago with I went to build 24 and GoSMS updated it was sucking the life out of my battery. I have uninstalled and went back to SMS Popup with stock messaging and no problems.

I've had no reboots so far on 33 today and the battery has been fine so far.

My phone was fine for hours, then like a Bi-Polar girlfriend, my DX just flipped its lid, random reboots and immense battery drains.
(Checksums matched)
I might SBF and install #33 from there and see if that makes a difference.

Nightly builds have no guarantee to run stable across all dx's, so I'm not upset or anything ;)

Everything looked great in battery stats/etc.
Only major thing showing up was display, and I have mine set lowwwww.

When I installed Nightly 33 today I wiped data and cache, just for the heck of it, so maybe that has something to do with it.

That may be a possibility,
I will do some testing later, can't right now...
I'm taking my boys to a waterpark and get this Android Addict a tan! ROFLMAO

@ Airmaxx,

If you continue to have no issues,
Make sure to post a comment in Rom Manager, as many people are having bad times with #33

Will do, so far I've been on it 2 hours and 37 minutes and the battery has only dropped 4% which I think is pretty good since a lot of the time was getting my phone set back up (settings, widgets...etc).

I also wiped going to this update just for the hell of it and my battery life, stability is about on par with other nightlies. I did have one random soft reboot when booting the phone in the car dock.

So right now I am on stock gingerbread rooted, deodexed, etc. This build has been really bothering me due to all of its problems.

I want to switch to CM4DX. This is the correct way to do things right?

1. Backup shit
2. SBF to froyo 2.2
3. root via z4
4. install bootstrapper
5. flash cm RC
6. flash nightly 33
7. flash all in on fix

Any suggestions or steps I am missing? Thanks for the help it's been a while since I've bothered to update my phone.

Make sure you full , not system, sbf to 340 and use the D2 bootstrapper. Also you can go right to nightly 33 and skip step 5. :)

Same results. Reboots, bad battery life, and some sluggishness.

This is really strange, if anything my home screen with Go Launcher are smoother than they were. I have a news widget on one screen that usually causes the screen it's on to stutter when I scroll to it, after Nightly 33 it does not do it at all. I've also had no reboots and I've been using my phone a lot today. Maybe the data/cache wipe helps.

I only wiped my Delvik Cache and I am having no issues, no reboots in almost 6 hours now and at 70% battery. I did get a replacement phone about a week ago. My restore of my back-up kept hanging (actually it did finish, but CWR would not show it finished) so I went ahead and did a fresh install of #24 and manually loaded all my apps. I figured a fresh replacement phone a fresh start.

It is fun going through all the Angry Birds again. :)

It is strange, I haven't had anything but issue free use since like the second nightly, and stellar battery life all throughout. I just had to flash back to nightly 28 (last one I used) because the battery would last no longer than a few hours.

Here's hoping 34 is better for me.

I always wipe dalvik cache before applying a nightly.......result.......no issues at all, ever :D

I wipe the Dalvik for every Nightly as well.
I've been testing CM4DX since Build#0, with zero issues...
Zero reboots, and pretty good battery life too.

Until Build#33.

I'm not worried about it, CM4DX is in Alpha/Beta stage...
so there are NO guarantees of stability ...yet.

I'm going to wipe data and cache like Airmaxx did, and see how things go.

Has anyone been using Juice Defender with CM7? I have it backed up on mine from before, but haven't thought to try it with CM7. Gonna give it a whirl tomorrow and see how it does...but wondering if anyone else had tried it?

before you backup your shit get some fiber so it will be easier on your body later :p and like hellfish said skip 5 and full SBF.

I REALLY wish CM7 was complete. The amount of themes out for it is freakin sweet. I just had to reflash but I stayed with my stock GB. I don't want to flash anything till it's finished. I'm too scared.....lol.
So close, but too far away. It'll get there, but I',m gonna have to wait as well.
