Reppards is an over clock kernel. No, I haven't switched over to this one yet, I'm still using Bob's GB ROM. I want a working camera. If and when this one gets a working camera, or if both versions become merged into one, I'll switch.

Reppards is an over clock kernel. No, I haven't switched over to this one yet, I'm still using Bob's GB ROM. I want a working camera. If and when this one gets a working camera, or if both versions become merged into one, I'll switch.

I understand you didn't mention over clock, but reppards kernel is an over clock kernel and nothing to do with mms. I've read that reppards does help with wi-fi.

I tried to flash that from ROM Manager and no joy. It went by too fast for me to be able to read what happened, but I did see an exclamation mark and then it re-booted to the phone. Should I have just tried to flash this from the recovery menu rather than RM? Maybe some other means?

Well that seemed to work. Now, MMS still doesn't seem to be a go. I'm trying to send my wife a photo and it's just sending and sending and sending.

all my stuff is signed n will pass those anyhow, but flashing other stuff it would be handy

I've never had an issue with asserts and signatures tho. But I tend not to flash things not meant for the phone or be compatible with most phones.

Well it worked. It took a long time (5 or 6 min for me to send a picture to my wife and for her to send me a picture).

So, I have a functional (if not quick) mms, wi-fi, and the Metro banner. I also have operating a2sd thanks to the Dark Tremor scripts and over clock thanks to reppards kernel.

I like it very much and look forward to future updates.

Somewhere earlier in this thread, Blaxican posted a link to a fix for the banner. I'm on my phone now, so it's a little hard to search for it.

Its the same as bobzhome first version but with the banner fixed. I asked for Bob to add to it and just give blaxican some credit.

In my excitement I forgot to mention one of CWM best features: TOGGLE SCRIPT ASSERTS!!!

just select that option to disable the recoverys hunt for an edify script and now you can flash both the ROCK kernel and MMS patch!!!

kind of a noob question but how do I Toggle Script Asserts?

Reboot in to recovery, select "install from SD card", and then look to the bottom of the list and select "toggle asserts"
