No matter which gingerbread I use, the one that was pulled a couple of Weeks ago or the latest one,I still get sprint in in the market.

Which is the latest one you used. I thought mine was the official OTA but I guess not since my phone seems to think its an evo with 4.3 inch screen and sprint in the market.

THis is what I show, can someone help this noooooooob, figure out what the heck I put on my phone LOL.

I too can confirm that all of the apps on my SD card are missing after my GB update. It seems as if they just aren't even recognized. When I look at the apps that are supposed to be on the SD card, they are all listed in the format of com.pandora.android or com.ebay.mobile. The app icons aren't there either - just a generic Android icon with an image of an SD card on the bottom right. This is very frustrating.

I also noticed the very first thing to pop up when the update was finished was the low memory icon. I have not had a problem with this since I downgraded from Flash 10.3 back to the original stock Flash (10.0 I think).

So far, I am very disappointed with this update. :-(

Hello all...

If anyone has any specific questions they'd like me to check out about the update, let me know, and I can do my best to accommodate you...enjoy it when ya get it!

Can you go to the "Hardware information" page under Settings|About Phone and post if you have a section called "Display" and what it says? Better yet, post a screen shot of that page if you can.

I am using the one that just got released.

Okay, I received the OTA notification for Gingerbread this morning when I woke up (yay!!!). So when I hit download and restart, it counted down, then nothing. It did absolutely nothing, it didn't download, restart or anything. Anyone know what might be causing this and a possible solution?

Thanks!

vzw pricing sucks ... SUCKS

I pay $116/month on sprint for my wife and daughter. They share 1500 minutes and have unlimited data and text. Cell to cell (any carrier) is free. The closest I can get on VZW is $180ish. I haven't checked recently but I doubt VZW has dropped their prices that much.

Plus my daughter is 12 (13 in october) and the iphone is a must -- LOL

lol wow I didnt get a phone till I was like 21.... But im I guy...gotta keep and eye out on your girls ;)

Howdy neighbor!! Are you rooted but still on stock rom?? If so then this is typical... if your not rooted then that is weird....

+1. In fact, if you've received the OTA, poke around in the about phone area and see if anything looks misrepresented.

Had anybody had it long enough to notice significant changes in battery? Or have you all been on it to much playing around to get an accurate reading? Lol :)

Try this...it _might_ work. Mount your phone to the PC, showing both disks
and then copy the contents from the .android_secure on the SD drive into the .android_secure from the internal drive. Then unmount and reboot. Good luck!

If this helps, please post, so we know if it works!

Okay this could make my lack of technical knowledge glaringly obvious, but at one point, yes, I did root my phone. However, after a few days, I ran something called an "unroot" and put it back to stock with s-on.

What is the best .apk if there is not another way around this?

mine shows 4.3
Mine shows 4.3 too, so I am curios to see what SerialSarpins shows since he/she received the OTA directly from VZW this morning. That should help answer if the OTA file that was posted a couple of days ago has been changed/fixed by VZW.

Funny that this build.prop issue was picked up and fixed in the leaked RUU from a few weeks ago by the folks over @ xda but still missed by VZW.

Yeah verizon at its best I guess. Anyone with the official OTA items fixed. Think someone posted earlier there screen size was correct but still had the market sprint issue. .

This *seems* to have corrected the issue. I have moved a couple apps back and forth from the SD card to the phone and back again, rebooted, shut down and pulled battery, and all seems to be ok. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the SD apps to appear in the app screen but it seems to be mostly ok now.

I can't believe they didn't fix the build.prop error, really!?!

@Robucuz, nicely done man. You had this issue nailed weeks ago but it seemed like very few people were listening. Kinda thought this is where we were headed b/c several of the initial OTA recipients were having app on sd problems. Debacle.
