CWM for the OM & OC are linked in my OP, its not official yet so its not listed in RM, but koush will be adding it soon. ;)

Safest way atm to install the CMW I ported and submitted to koush is with Flash Image GUI ($.99 in the market).

So atm there is no way to flash a ROM from RM, you have to boot into CWM (or alternate recovery) to do it.

ok so last night my phone was fine now this morning my phone is bricked and i didnt do anything to it or mess with it just went to check it and yeah someone please help with pointing me in right direction please

You will have to describe the situation better? Bricked means it won't power on. I assume You mean stuck at the lg screen, Have you pulled the battery? Can you boot to recovery?

any of this going to know out my service i have replaced this phone once because all my data info was wiped all the way to unprogrammable standerds
and also would like to just use cm7 with out all the trouble you know guess it just takes time

try the get out of fastboot method first.. it usually works from soft brick at lg screen.. just flash a recovery img through fastboot and then restore a backup all should be fine

Yeah try that fastboot one first. I forgot about that.

Also, your old phone was saveable. The ****** at the counter in the metro store was prolly stumped but I could have helped you restore service. I'm currently using a phone that was completely zeroed, ESN MEID and the whole partition containing that data was wiped.

WTF The "mentally challenged person" at the counter? can't say r-**** around here? And to think the official term used to be feeble minded moron, were so damn PC I can't use the word ret@rded? It's a perfectly accurate description....

ok first ? is when im in QXDM and i hit communications and then com 5 where my phone is plugged in at it just says waiting

Note on Version Protocol: Current version protocol is CM-7-7.2-LG-MS690-DATE-signed.zip.
Note 1: Using a cpu oc app and settings the min cpu speed up to around 245 seems to help the screen wake up issue.

How to Install ClockworkMod Recovery:

Its been reported that fastboot is disabled in the bootloader on the OM. An app called Flash Image GUI seems to install CWM with ease. And there is always the terminal method:

  • Open command prompt
adb shelladb sumount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /systemcat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_imagechmod 755 /system/bin/flash_imageflash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.imgreboot recoveryYou can also install via a terminal program, but again the recovery.img and flash_image must both be on the root of your sd card
sumount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /systemcat /sdcard/flash_image > /system/bin/flash_imagechmod 755 /system/bin/flash_imageflash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.imgreboot recovery

This installed PlayfulGod's recovery and booted into it. You then must use the volume up/down keys to navigate the menu and camera button to actually access the menu/command.
I also installed the recovery using Flash Image GUI that I found a PPC geeks. I can confirm that PlayfulGod's recovery works well. It does have a error message at the bottom, but that doesn't seem to screw up any functions

  • Thanks to sillyputtyddd for the correct command syntax.

Note: To boot into recovery do the following:

  • Turn off phone, hold down the power button + volume down + home button.

  • Thanks to papasmurf520 for the key combo.
