All I know is I have lost all faith in all these sites releasing so called news on the subject. They will post anything to get their sites loaded with adds up on our displays.

I have had to unsubscribe from news alerts on the subject because they are all the same and will copy and paste anything they can.

I'm just gonna grab my backside with both hands and just wait for the darned thing to appear.

FWIW.

I've been visiting Droid-Life for over a year and I trust Kellex (site's owner). He has some pretty good sources in my opinion but I don't claim to have the best grasp of the on-goings of the Android community. I just figured I would pass this along and see what you guys thought.

Link to the Article

The article references the TheDroidGuy as the information but Kellex has his own sources. I know you guys are hating on TheDroidGuy for not being reputable and other people were doing the same thing on Droid-Life and this was Kellex's response.

Just remember that when other people report things, it gives us an opportunity to share knowledge that we have heard from sources that ask us to remain quiet. When this stuff comes out though, it lets us spread a little bit of the things we have been told. :)

So basically he sees this as an opportunity to confirm information he already knows through other means without outing his own sources. TheDroidGuy may not be right about everything but he may be right about some of the things he has said. But who knows? Just passing this along, don't shoot the messenger.

This article is so full of BS. Commenters on that link are all over it. He wants us to believe that his guy saw two phones and accidentally mixed up the details.

Please.

I, for one, am expecting the Prime in November. Unfortunately, I'm expecting it to be fully bloated, and I honestly have no idea whether it has ICS or not.

The name SCH-i515 is not promising, because it makes me think that it's the successor to the Charge (SCH-i510). If this "Prime" ends up being Charge 2 running Gingerbread, and the rest of the carriers end up with a pure Nexus device, I'll be beyond pissed, and you'll probably see some news articles about masked vigilantes throwing cement blocks through Verizon HQ windows. (after hours, of course).

Edit: P3Droid being sad over no Nexus Prime on Verizon is starting to make some sense.

I have the sinking feeling that Verizon is screwing it up all over again. Well, if all else fails, at least we'll have the Vigor with it's crappy 1600 mAh battery.

I also need a favor - can someone please give a brief synopsis of what is in the links above as the gnomes in my IT department have that website blocked and I cannot wait two hours to see the info at home!!!!!!!

EDIT: I'm now thinking that Droid Prime will come to Verizon all loaded up with crap, and Nexus Prime - basically the same hardware - will go to the other carriers. What think you?
I think they are in fact 2 different devices and that means hardware and all.

If I were a betting man I'd say the i515 is essentially an upgraded Charge aka the Charge 2.

I'll reserve judgement on this whole thing until some more info/specs come in for VZW's version.

What would be a serious blow is if the i515 fails to deliver anything substantial over the SGSII. If Verizon passed on the SGSII for a "better" handset it darn well better be something worth it. I'm out of contract and will leave. Waiting for over a year for good hardware to arrive is ridiculous.

As far and this whole Twitter thing goes. Heck with both of them. The poetry sux and the message is weak. It's stupidity.

So I will wait for some real info to come in before jumping to conclusions. As we all have just witnessed things can and will change on a dime. The ONLY thing reliable at this time is that an LTE Samsung handset is heading to VZW.

I said a while back that in order to preserve ones sanity, ignore the first 5-6 rumors that come out because they are wrong. As it stands now we are at 3 or 4 ( can't remember). Sit back and watch the bs go flying by because some more is on the way.

Get used to it folks. That's what rumor and gossip is all about. Some truth mixed in non-truth and conjecture. That's the game. We have to live with it. As of now, I'm personally very, very confused.

Sorry, but as soon as I read the words "Confirmed specs of the Galaxy Nexus" I stopped reading.

There is so much BS swirling around about this damn phone that I've had it.

I don't know why the hell I'm so obsessed over a DAMN PHONE. Life has so many more issues that are much more important. I think I need to take a step back from all this circus nonsense.

I'm now going to calmly exit the browser and get back to work. I'm out. And I don't know when or if I'll be back.

Good bye.

The words 'confirmed specs of the Galaxy Nexus' came from a reader of the blog, not from the owner of the site. That's beside the point, just ignore the language and read the details. Obviously nothing is confirmed until we hear it from Samsung or Verizon.

Prediction: i1950 other carriers. i515 exclusive to Verizon.

Yeah this is from the article I posted. You guys should have read it.

First, all of this confusion about the name, “Nexus Prime.” According to their report (which I actually do beg to differ with slightly), the Prime and next Nexus are two different phones. I will say this. They are…sort of different. Anyone been wondering why we have used the name Galaxy Nexus and those sexy images up top a ton lately? We sure weren’t doing it just because we thought they looked pretty – which they do by the way. To our knowledge (along with separate reports), the Galaxy Nexus is headed to Verizon as the first Ice Cream Sandwich device. Then, potentially within a few weeks, a different version of the phone which will more than likely be re-named slightly, will be released to other carriers. Moving on…

and

So what do we know? That there is a Verizon ICS phone (which we are happy to call the Galaxy Nexus) on the way along with a version that could roll out as a separate Nexus just weeks later to other carriers. Confused? Yeah, we all are. Just know that Big Red customers will be more-than-happy come early November.

Also, I think I know I might be obsessed over a phone as well because I've been searching around for stuff about it for the past hour or so. This could very well be a stretch but I just found a Facebook page for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. It has 0 likes and from what I can gather from the date the profile picture was uploaded (assuming the same day the page was created), it was made on Saturday. I don't know if there is a way to tell if the page was made by just some random person messing around but here's the link nonetheless if you guys want to check it out. And yeah, I am bored and want this phone. Sorry for the constant posts.

I read that. What I'm saying is that Verizon users are not getting a Nexus handset or anything similar to it.

We are just getting a Charge 2 while the rest of the world gets to enjoy the "real" Nexus.

We (VZW customers) get relegated to the dugout once again while everyone else gets to play ball. It seems pretty clear that Verizon loves it's iPhone and continues to feed us Android scraps.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

I see what you're saying now. I guess we'll see how it turns out but I'm going to keep thinking optimistic because as I stated before, I've been rocking the OG Droid and not many phones have really compelled me to upgrade but the initial rumors we have been hearing has sparked my interest immensely. If this falls through and ends up being crap, I might just wait until we see quad-core processors in phones before I give the OG Droid the boot.

:) I'm am right there with you brother. Still hanging onto the OG Droid.

I'll wait, just as you, for some reliable information to trickle in then have an opinion. Until then it's wait, see and speculation.

What ever come's out on verizon from here on out will have internal throttle control. This will be how they get around the unlimited crowd. They will at some point flip the switch on everybody not just the top 5% be it 3g or 4g.

This is not good.. in my opinion.

There is one last hope for me - my dreams about perfect ICS upgrade I'm waiting for. :D Noone is goin' take it from me!!! Hahhhahhahaaa! Noone! Hahaa! ;D

I'm not paying attention to or following anyone who strings me along playing games. I don't have the time or the patience.
Me neither, but it's a minor annoyance. Didn't take any effort for me not to follow him on twitter.

Me too...Love my OG Droid, but really don't like/use the keyboard...ever.

Ditto, the main thing I don't like is they make the phone less spillproof. But a keyboard wouldn't stop me from buying an otherwise excellent phone.

How would a keyboard even work with the rumored 4.5" screen??? I thought the whole POINT of ICS was to clear up real estate for the screen

I don't follow. How does either the screen size or the OS argue against the presence of a keyboard? A larger keyboard will add a little bulk and weight, but is still presumably an advantage for touch typists. And no matter what OS a device has, some users will want to enter long strings of text.

So Pentile screen? Really? Did I read that correctly?

Yes, but many of us believe that at HD resolution the downsides of Pentile will be unnoticeable or that the power savings and better contrast will be more important than the slight visual weirdness.

...
I am not convinced of this at all. We'll see. I can see a Nexus type device (dual core 1.5Ghz, HD SAMOLED+ screen, 1 GB ram, ICS), with .. Sammy and VZW stuff (touchwiz or the like, VZ apps). All in all that is not bad, and nothing like a "Charge 2" .. It's not the perfect Nexus, but it s most certainly not "Charge 2" ..

Hopefully you are right and I'm wrong but I don't see the i515 as a different device than the i510 aka Charge. Seems like a natural progression to me. We will find out soon enough.

Heh, it seems the whole Nexus/Prime speculation thing jumped the shark when the Twitter poetry surfaced. Somebody forgot to take his medication...

You all think you have it bad; think again. My OG Droid stopped working at least 6 weeks ago when it took a bath and I'm now on a Blackberry Curve while I await the arrival of this phone. A BLACKBERRY. It's ok, you can feel sorry for me. I do.

This is expected to get this much crap before the lunch of so many hot devices all at one. .consider what is going on right now with this, the same as how apple loosing Iphones at bars before each release.

It all just starts the mill up, and gets the word out. .This is just free advertising and hyping up without spending any money.
