Ok, seriously guys, I'm kind of ticked because I tried to squirrel out of my depositions tomorrow evening, and no dice.

So, I can't come out and play.

I go away for a few hours and miss 3 pages. This is getting ridiculous. I have a question. I have never owned a Samsung phone. I have heard several times in this thread that Samsung has issues with their GPS. Can someone give me some details about what those issues are? I use my phone as my GPS and I travel a lot.

i have the att version of galaxy s and pretty much GPS doesn't work if you need it for turn by turn. You will get lost GPS signal an lot. J thought I heard it was fixed tho. From what I have read the galaxy s2 had an fully functional GPS

Bummer man, that sucks. Well at least you will have hours upon hours of material to catch up on when you get done... maybe it will go quickly! I know you don't believe in hokey religions or ancient weapons but... may the Force be with you! :)

Yeah, I'm really hoping that by the time I get out, the whole video will be cached on the android youtube channel so I can watch it from the beginning. Once I do that I'll chime in here. I don't like being spoiled. :p

Hey my 2nd post.........I just read this over at HowardForums........anyone here know anything about this??

I'll take that bet and say it is released earlier.

Well, since the vigor and prime is rumored to be on 11/10, I didn't figure vzw would launch anymore until after 15 days. If anyone would know, you would.
Well, I might be comparing them side by side after all. This thunderbolt is ok, just looking for something different.

I'll guess 11/3 or 11/4, before the vigor and prime.

I hear the Prime is having some serious issues...can't really say much more than that though, sorry.
It could mean delays in the announcement and/or any proposed release date, and give the RAZR an edge...so to speak!

Are they written depositions, cause I'm sure you can multi-task:D

Nope. It's a pretty intricate case and we're deposing over a hundred witnesses during the next three weeks. :(

Oh well. At least the billable hours will help towards the Galnexusaurus fund!

RAZR Carbon Fiber Look: I purchased some 3M Carbon Fiber to put on my HP laptop a few months ago, because I was getting so many fingerprints on it. It worked very well. I just kind of clings, no paste or anything. If anyone is desperate to have that look with the Nexus, I am sure it would work, since the back is removable. But the leak guy seemed to like the silver color of the device and the feel of the "space age"( my term ) plastic.

qHD nonPentile vs 720p Pentile is going to be CLOSE if you ask me. Add in the size of screen diff and I am guessing sharpness will be about exactly the same and near perfectly sharp for most of us.

Agreed, I think they'll be very close and easily sharp enough for most (not all) users.

The battery is confirmed. No word on extended cell easy swap, but not really replaceable options.

Sad. I really hope that progression stops, and the only way to discourage it is by not buying it.

Both are OMAP of similar internals AFAIK so I am pretty sure ICS is optimized just as much for one as the other.

That hadn't occurred to me, and it's a great point. Bionic should be an ideal candidate for an ICS upgrade.

Except for the Thunderbolt. The technology is there, the manufacturers just choose not to use it.

No, IIRC Thunderbolt can do it because it has two separate onboard radios and other Verizon 3G phones don't.

If it's PenTile, it's from Samsung.

Samsung bought Nouvoyance, so that makes sense.

RGBW Pentile LCD is the only tech that will really jack up brightness and help outdoor visibility. Really though a reflective tech like this is what you really want for outdoor use as it reads easy outdoors AND conserves massive battery while doing so by turning off the back light and working off reflection rather than transmission of light.
Or, you want built-in solar charging so you can crank the screen as bright as you want in bright sunlight!
