I can understand smashing a DX, OG Droid or an iPhone, but there is no way I would smash my T-101. Those things are just way too useful. Plus a friend of mine dropped her T-100 a while back and the hydrogen power cell were cracked. They are still trying to find all the pieces to her house.

I trust Samsung to make good stuff. I have a couple of Samsung TV's, I have a Samsung made Verizon Network Extender and I have a Samsung Solid State Drive in my laptop. Plus they probably have components in things in my house that I don't even know about. Tomorrow is a big deal. It's Samsung and Googles time to mount a comeback against the Iphone. Let the games begin.

qHD nonPentile vs 720p Pentile is going to be CLOSE if you ask me. Add in the size of screen diff and I am guessing sharpness will be about exactly the same and near perfectly sharp for most of us. LCD vs AMOLED is not a huge deal for me, but I do prefer AMOLED a tiny bit.

I agree both screen will be close in terms of sharpness. But still 720p is higher resolution than qHD 540p regardless of pixel structure. So Nexus will have more screen resolution space for softwares.

Had my iPhone4 up on Ebay ready to sell, just took it off last night. Figured I would wait to hear the announcement first. I now just realized that whatever is announced is definitely going to be way better than this phone! TIME FOR EBAY AGAIN!

I've used Samsung hard drives, desktop & server RAMs, and monitors -- all top notch quality.

That's too simplistic a statement. PenTile RGBG is composed of non-uniformly sized subpixels, so certain onscreen figures can't be represented precisely. But HD PenTile has 1.84M subpixels versus qHD RGB's 1.56M, so it'll probably come very close.

Software addressability doesn't mean that much when a substantial portion of the requested pixels never make it to the display device because they were thinned out by the PenTile process. In a way it's like having a 720p TV downsample a 1080p input signal that it can't show directly.

Another reminder of why I will be so happy to get rid of my crappy iPhone 4 and jump on the android bandwagon when this nexus comes out!! woot!. Who in the hell thought an all glass phone would be a good idea??? wtf. btw, a case is not the answer. I hate cases. No point in getting a cool phone if you have to hide it in an ugly bulky case.

On another note... this article just revived my excitement for the nexus prime, no matter what processor is inside (still bummed about no sd slot though).

Why would Verizon schedule a huge announcement tomorrow about the RAZR when the world is going to be watching the Nexus/Samsung/Google event?

Could it be because they are not going to carry it and they want to soften the blow this news will bring? "Hey don't worry about the Prime! We have the Droid RAZR and it's going to be awesome"

Could it be because they want to launch 2 huge phones simultaneously and garner all the attention they can get? (That wouldn't make either Samsung or Moto very happy)

Still no FCC and a huge event scheduled for their Droid RAZR on the same day the Nexus is unveiled to the world.

Weird? or is it just me?

Still no response to kbman's claim on the howardforums about our galaxaroraus getting delayed posted by Jason above?

Ditto. I think the lack of the usual panic suggests people missed the post. Seems unlikely there could be issues after just rescheduling the event but you never know.

Also consider this. I haven't read PC world article but it's good hear they concluded SGS2 camera quality is very close to iPhone4S. I'm pretty sure Nexus will have similar or better camera than SGS2.

I'm summarily rejecting any rumors of a launch delay. My Droid and poor feeble mind just couldn't take the strain at this point in the game. A delay would be, at best, manically depressing. Nexus cancellation? Been discussed. Ain't happening. Too late to stop that train.

do we think that they will announce a verizon version of the galaxy nexus in hong kong? wouldn't that be kind of strange?

Keep the expectations low. Who all thinks this nightmare scenario is bound to happen: Event tomorrow happens as planned. Yay, nexus phone. Day after Verizon announces the RAZR and not the Prime.

I may be wrong on this, but didn't Verizon and Motorola schedule this before Samsung and Google rescheduled the unpacked event?

Hah. kbman does have good connections AFAIK. He usually get's phone real early for reviews and such if I remember correctly.

I'm sort of struggling with them announcing it at all to be perfectly honest. The Nexus will be announced but I'm starting to think Verizon may not get this thing.

I_think_thats why they scheduled the RAZR event tomorrow. To take away the blow back they are about to face if they don't carry the handset.
