Well we will all share a virtual beer tomorrow night regardless of the outcome. It's been a ride and it is deserving of a nice farewell or a spectacular kick-off.

I asked him as much over there, but that stuff was posted much earlier and have not clue how closely he was monitoring the thread. That's the only thing that makes sense.
Don't expect a huge announcement and marketing push from Verizon, either. They're too far invested in RAZR to make Nexus a "flagship". WE have to do that by word of mouth.
I really would like to hear all the detail behind the scenes on all of this. Wouldn't be surprised if VZW had hoped for a Droid Prime follow up to the Charge with exclusive on Vanilla ICS and all in the mold of OG Droid, but somehow got all the deals cut without actual agreements about device naming, marketing angle, and such being part of the initial agreements. Then when Sammy/Google said this IS a Nexus and you are going to do nothing about it as that wasn't part of the original deal. Then things have deteriorated from there. I am sure they will still go through with it and we will be able to get our Galaxy Nexus, but at this point I am not expecting the Nexus BEFORE RAZR.

So long as I know the NP is officially on the way... I'm good. The Razr will not change my purchase intent (regardless of NP release date)
If its after 12/28 I get a NE2 discount as wellSo long as I know the NP is officially on the way... I'm good.
I'm with you. RAZR will be a cool phone, but unless it is announced as unlocked from DAY ONE, it's a 100% no go for me, unless there is no Nexus.
eyetek please don't misconstrue what I'm saying. I'm not trying to bring you or anyone down. I want this device just as bad as you do. I've waited close to a year for it. (no exaggeration)
There's just A LOT of hype going on right now and underneath it all there is a lot of missing pieces and things that don't quite add up. Again, I want this handset VERY badly but I'm having some serious questions about all this.
Step back and look at the whole picture without any emotional attachment and you will see that there really are some things of concern. It's not being negative.....it's just being cautious in the midst of a TON of hype.
sorry if I am coming off as negative it's sincerely not my intention. I'm just trying to open up dialogue with people to get some more input.
Do we actually think they will announce that the phone is for Verizon tomorrow, or do we just think they will show off "the Nexus".
In reality we truly will know nothing til tomorrow
Plus Verizon is pissed that Google and Samsung choose to schedule their Nexus / ICS event on their already scheduled announcement of the device that they are in control of...the Moto Razor. Moto is the company that Verizon is really in bed with...and this does not sit well with them but they have no power to control Google and Samsung in this situation.
One thing that will be nice about OMAP 4 series of SoC:
They are already approved for Netflix HD DRM. That will be nice as it would be an excellent app to take advantage of the 720p screen on Galaxy Nexus:
AnandTech - TI OMAP4 First to be Awarded Netflix HD DRM Certification
We just couldn't have the last 24 hours be without drama, could we... COULD WE?![]()
Probably lots of Drama teaching Ballet though.
That will be one function to wake people up that a 2gb cap is ridiculous. One 90 minute movie and $30 of data gone. That is one expensive movie.
Only question I have:
Why the heck are they doing this in Hong Kong?
Well he's not one to just spout off random things like that.
Good grief people you even got ME on it! That chat room's gonna be absolutely impossible tomorrow night![]()
