The question was "what time does the motorola event start today?"
Sorry. I totally left that out of the post.

I think the specs leaked are correct, because that is what has been being said this whole time. Anyone that says otherwise is in denial. The only surprise I saw was that it has an SD card, which was a good surprise IMO, and it is a little bigger than I expected considering no buttons needed.
Android Ice Cream Sandwich on a Google Nexus Prime - YouTube
1. It's definitely not a small phone.
2. The Nexus (all of them) has never been spec monsters.
3. It's still going to be a great phone but you'll have lots of options if it ends up being something you don't want.
4. We are less than 12 hours away now can you feel the hype!?![]()
If one were to give the SGS2 a 4.7" screen how big would the phone be? Can we stop bickering about the length of this phone? 5.35 inches is not big. For many guys its average but thats not the point.
...People who are advocating the "shut up and wait" program are right. I'm not going to shut up, of course, but I'll be majorly toning down the freak factor until later tonight.![]()
I didn't personally say it was TOO big, but also the SGS2 has capacitive buttons, so that takes up some of the bezel area. But the T-mo one with the 4.5" screen manages to come in under this, AND has off-screen buttons. I just think 5.3 inches is big considering. There will be lots of complaint about bezels I believe.

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. This is my second post on androidforums and I have been following this thread avidly with my F5 key.
I currently have a Dinc on Verizon and have been waiting for the next phone to upgrade to. After reading all the rumors/blogs/posts, I am considering
Nexus Prime
Motorola Razr
HTC Vigor (Rezound)
Can't wait for the announcements and find out the real specifications!
Exactly!
1. The quality of the pictures is horrible, at best.
a. They are a picture of a poster with a picture if a phone.
b. The angle of the side view is deceiving, making it look
thicker than it probably is in reality.
2. I seriously doubt that Samsung would be promoting this phone, (Something BIG is Coming!) with specs that are as lackluster as reported in that "leak".
3. If anything, this is in an attempt to throw everyone off so they are pleasantly surprised when it is finally announced.
4. I doubt the Galaxasaurus Nex will have everything we hope for it to have, but honestly, these specs are a step backward, and unrealistic.
RELAX FOLKS! Something BIG is Coming, and it's in less than 12 hours now!![]()
for the lazy like me

The Tmobile phone comes in at 5.1" Pretty close when all is said and done.
For those who are disappointed with the GPU for "High-end" gaming. Why don't you just buy a Vita when it comes out for gaming? Or will the argument be now i have to carry two devices?
Dual analogs verse a finger? Phones suck for high-end gaming.
Welcome to the thread! And if the latest release-date rumors are correct, they'll all be available November 10 and you'll be able to compare them side by side!
I think November is going to be an awesome month to be a VZ customer. And you can't say that very often.![]()

You may be right, but I just can't see them promoting it the way they have, only to have specs that will scare a lot of people away from the phone on general principle without even giving it a chance. Let's face it, the general population will look at the specs of a phone, and just assume that this phone isn't as good as some of the other phones coming out now with a faster processor, higher MP camera, larger battery, etc. Samsung says this as BIG, and I expect they mean it. I also think they mean figuratively big, not just 136mm long. It may not have eveything we all hope for, but these specs just aren't going to blow away John Q Public. Obviously, I could be wrong as well, but it's just fun to speculate, as the name of the thread says.
i've got a general verizon question for you guys.
will have a family plan when we switch. will i be able to later add another line for $10/month and get a new smartphone, and not add a data plan to it?
The something big is Ice Cream Sandwich.
Google is a software company and they are more concerned about promoting their latest OS than pushing the latest specs.
The leaked specs on the Galaxy Nexus are on par of today's flagship devices, so they are good enough for Google purposes. They are the same specs as those from the rumors in the past few weeks, so I would be very surprised if they are much different. Don't get your hopes up.
