The only thing that I guess would be new right now is what kind of specs they will have on the GSM version of the phone. .unless they are the exact same with processor and all

I don't think that 1.5ghz would really have been anything special over a 1.2ghz

I do.

Could be the difference between a 384MHz SGX540 or a 306MHz SGX540. Graphics are already somewhat behind, and without the speed bump....:(

That's assuming it's an OMAP4430, or an underclocked OMAP4460. Or it could be a Exynos 4210.

We'll find out soon.

I doubt a FFC, turned on & off that fast, would reduce battery life significantly...

I use my phone as a watch a lot tho, it goes on and off thousands of times a day, and smartphone batteries are already BAD WORD, just seems very unnecessary. :( With that, I will be having fun with it the first week. :p

will the real han solo (notice the space) please stand up;-)

Waht! He stole my pic also!

Maybe you could become Chewbacca instead; I don't think we have any of them.

First of all, are you back from the desert? :)

You are 100% correct on CPUs for laptops and desktops, but System on Chip designs are more specific, my friend. Somebody posted the differences and manual of the chips (I think Blue did).

Different wafer runs and different chips. Due to different thresholds, the 4430 overclocked is not as efficient as the 4460 at 1.2ghz (defeat purpose if so).

Okay I just scanned through both tech ref manuals, and...

The 4460 manual has 70 extra pages covering MA and CMU subsystems (Memory Adapter and Cache Management Unit) in descriptions and figures that don't exist in the 4430 manual. This is a redundant optimized pathway to external memory, which makes sense for a faster 1.5GHz SoC interfacing w/existing slower LPDDR2 RAM.

Pity that we're looking at 1.2GHz Nexus now. Sigh. :(

Yeah. I'm not buying anything from any "inside sources" anymore.

Who pegged all the specs right?

Nobody every gets them all right, dunno why people still follow any of these so called "in the know" people any more then you or I.

I do hope it's not OMPA4430... at least OMAP4460 please!

I agree, gonna be TI OMAP. Also I really like the zero shutter speed camera for kids, I have three, all under 5... my current phone camera is worthless for anything but blur.

The 4430 = 306mhz

The 4460 = 384mhz

I think it was pretty obvious that whoever was giving Steven information was just taking it from other leaks. Based on the specs released, his source wasn't real. I'd also say that VZ Wired was a troll as well.
