Sorry I just remembered it was all just a dream and.her dad is a d--k in real life :)

getting peoples hopes up is not kool :p

i just got the galaxy nexus, and activated it on vzw, i have pics, but im not going to share, if i do, i will just take a picture of the back, and storage info, cause "i want to show you somoething cool"
hahahah

i'm still of the opinion that Moto/RAZR isn't even targeting Andy customers primarily (in other words, Moto isn't primarily looking to "steal" away Andy customers from other OEM's). not to say they don't "want" other Andy customers, it's just that those customers aren't the primary target. likewise, i don't think Apple customers are a primary target - they will get some, but it's just dang hard to get Apple people to convert.

rather, i see Moto's primary target being RIM customers. with the RAZR unveiling, Moto went out of its way to tout all the business functionality, and coupled that with upgraded security and encryption features. previously, my understanding has been that the lack of security features with Andy is what has shied business customers away from Andy, and kept them with RIM. i think Moto is trying to change that, and steal away RIM's market share, not necessarily Apple's or other Andy OEM's.

Yeah I feel they were pushing the business credentials a lot too. RIM is dead, or will be, so Android might as well get the bodies as iOS.

I say that having owned a BB and currently an iPhone 4, and looking forward to my first Android, the GNex. The funny thing with BB is, when I had one way way back it was very much a business only sort of thing. Now I see it, my GF's kid sister has one, and she loves it, she uses BBM for all her friends. All sorts of young people (I am 25 so young myself I guess) are running round with BB's here in the UK as they are cheaper than iOS devices, and they look smart and grown up. The RIM crash last week really hurt them, and some will be leaving. Maybe more of them will filter into Android.

And the fine print: "Item will be shipped late November, or early December. Guarantee yourself (or a significant other) an extraordinary device for the holidays:)"

I trust him. He actually sells locally, and picked some stuff up from his van the other day.

History: 1 sold.

I mean, it's gotta be a fake. But it says he has 6 more to sell.

hrm, since the phone isnt out yet, how did he obtain 7 of them?
did he pay for them? i wonder if that is totally... legal... selling those devices. hansolo should answer that one.

mr. lawyer!!!!

edit: nvm shipped information is there haha

I doubt he has them yet. He's taking high bids for more than he can buy them for... then take THAT money and have them drop-shipped and keep the profit. Yep, people will buy it that way, too.

I have faith the display will be great. Samsung is probably the largest display maker out there. I found out when researching my plasma TV they basically made them all for everyone else.
I use dual Samsung SyncMaster 215TW S-PVA displays and could not be happier.

BMX tweeting the Nexus is coming to more carriers than Verizon. FWIW...

If true, it should be a race now! Which carrier allows announcement first?

Google/Samsung is REALLY dumb if they wanted to round up carriers and do a big carrier announcement for the USA. Something like that should have been done before PRIMARY announcement and included in the primary push.

So there's been a lot of rumors of Theo Epstein coming from the Red Sox to the Cubs, and rumors were flying around that there would be an announcement today, but so far, there's nothing.

What the heck is happening?! Oh no, oh no!! This means that Theo ISN'T coming to the Cubs, and even though he broke the Red Sox curse, he won't get a chance to do it here, which means that 103 years without a WS championship will go another 100 years, and now our arch rivals Cardinals are probably going to win it AGAIN, and then we'll be even more of a laughingstock! Dang it! And now that I think about it, in the past whenever a new GM was rumored to come, it was always announced really really quick. . .it's never been like this!

Crap. Well, I guess the Cubs have to look for another GM because there is no freaking way this is happening now. No chance.

I hear Francona needs a job....

Guys, please check the thread I just started: Flood Verizon.

I think it's an important step we can make, in case there is a risk of Verizon screwing us over again.

Hans ;) why don't you just file a class action lawsuit instead, all the mental stress of not knowing has got to be damaging to our health. Surely a judge would agree and make Verizon tell us whether it is or not, and when, and give us one for free for our pain and suffering...

Check his seller feedback

Their feedback is terrific, and they have a record of happy phone buyers going back years. Says no returns or exchanges, but you can usually force that if necessary. IMO it's almost certainly legit, although the seller can't really guarantee a specific ship date w/o product in stock. Price seems high for something about to come out at probably a few $hundred less unsubsidized.

FWIW, if you buy anything that's not in stock for immediate delivery, keep your eye on the calendar in case you need to file a PayPal/eBay/CC claim against the seller.

Funny that they won't ship to Russia -- may've been burned by a buyer before. :(

Probably has a VZW store or a connection

the actual phone itself will probably be worth close to $700 off contract, $650 at the lowest im guessing.

Check the description. I posted before that he says a late November ship date, which means he is just trying to get money from people.
