Morning G'nexers.

Hoping to see more leaks / info today - from the source, Twitter or anywhere else.

Going to get some hot chocolate, its starting to get chilly out.

The AF is just doing its job. As best it can under your torturous conditions eh?

Yeah, I am interested in this performance aspect of the camera, cause you never know when you will be trying to take pictures of one child with another playing with the light switch.

I was really hoping for a new bit of news from our friends at VZW yesterday since wasn't it originally set to be announced yesterday?

Steven, I'm beginning to wonder if we're only going to hear about the phone the day before pre-orders or it literally releases...which maybe means nothing for a few weeks?? :*(

thats a lot of time for me to twiddle my thumbs.

Nah, we will hear/see stuff when the phones and/or ad kits start getting shipped to the store. Plus still has to go through FCC. So there is at least two things to talk about prior to release.

Go to this site:
https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm?calledFromFrame=N&wwparam=1319636413

And fill in search criteria. Final Action Date is the day the info is released, so if you want to check what has gone out today, just type in todays date in both fields. You can type Samsung in the applicant name field to get only samsung products. Also under the application process, I usually pick Original Grant, as the others are just updates to already passed products.

Tomorrow? I thought.

Let's see if we hear any news with the pre-order of RAZR tomorrow.

We've never had a reliable idea of when VZ's details will be revealed. Many have speculated that it will come shortly after the RAZR's preorder, which would mean Friday at the earliest. But, this is just us geeks guessing, we have no good info on that.

So maybe sell the Nexus on the 3rd, a week after the preorder, but before the RAZR or release it same day as RAZR?

I don't think its the 17th for some reason -- I am still banking on the 3rd or the 10th.

Take this for what it's worth, but according to my source, the Razr will definitely be released before the Nexus. No time given on how long before, but definitely before.

Looks like the Nexus One will not be getting ICS because the "hardware is too old":

Android upgrade for Google Nexus S ‘in weeks’ - Telegraph

...
On a positive note, the article also mentions that Google is confident that ICS is "buttersilk smooth" despite reports out of Hong Kong that the device was laggy; they put that down to a faulty device.
Cheers peeps:)

This article also quoted Barra as saying that ICS was drawing 60 frames per second and was designed with the NEXT 3 years in mind. Sounds good to me!

And this is why. If RAZR is shipping as late as 11/10, Would not be surprised to see the GNex pushed to 11/17

Well seeing how preorders start at 12:01 tonight for the razr( which was said by moto) yes it will be released before the nexus and I am going to say you don't really have "a source"

I can't say I am entirely optimistic seeing that "Ship by 11/10" on there.

That was the part of the article that concerned me most. I've been without a phone for 2 months, but still paying to keep my unlimited data plan. I hope this doesn't translate into several more weeks!
