The few things I have ordered from Verizon, a signature is always required. I have left notes asking to leave the package and they don't. I end up watching the tracking from work and telling them I will pick up from the hub on the way home. It's such a pain that I would rather just run up to the store and pick it up.
If this is any indication, better get your pre-orders in.

One thing I noticed, you fuzzed out the CR's name in all the posts, but not at the top![]()
Good, that means that there will be plenty of Gnexes to go around and the idea of a pre-order on Nov. 3 would not impact sales for the Razr.If this is any indication, better get your pre-orders in.

Sell out in 4 hours. Wow. That is Apple territory. Wonder how many they sold...
Crap! I changed it in my post, but if Romparoo and iowabowtech could remove it from their quotes, I'd appreciate it. Or a mod could remove it as well.
Don't want to get anyone in trouble.

You're up brother. It is time.

Do you have the option when pre-ordering with Verizon to have it shipped to a different address? I know I've done that before when getting a replacement phone through Asurion or through warranty replacement from Verizon. Just not sure if you can do that when pre-ordering online, since this will be my first ever pre-order (assuming there is a pre-order period).
I just pre-ordered the RAZR and did it over the phone specifically to see if I could do this and the rep said "Sure, why wouldn't you be able to?" Heh. So, yes, I just had them ship my RAZR to my office address.
Well, I assemble lithium polymer ion cell packs for special extended battery packages and can tell you they do respond to being fully charged and "almost" fully drained the 1st few times. I keep written logs on the mileage and hours I get from my batteries.
On mine there is a protection circuit that takes care of that limit for me. This would be to the low level warning or phone shut down you get on a phone.
After doing this I log more hours each time. After two to three cycles I don't see any more gains in longevity.
And they do not like to be stored for long periods at full charge. Put one on the shelf at 100% and let it go to 25% or lower and you may find it will not hold as good as when new. Store it at 60% - 75% or so and she will treat you better.
This is why they do not ship @ 100%. If I get a new device of any kind with a 100% charged battery I get suspicious.
Wow that article was useless. (not a flame on you for posting, we should always post links, Thanks!)Samsung Galaxy Nexus uses some type of "fortified glass", after all
Video fortified Glass possible GNEX
Dragon Tailed Glass with Video
Something I saw in the comments I thought was interesting: Did you know that Sammy/Corning have a joint venture together? How much you want to bet this is where the glass comes from? http://www.scp.samsung.com/company/coringcompany.aspWow that article was useless. (not a flame on you for posting, we should always post links, Thanks!)
But what they told us.
1)GNex doesn't use GG (we already knew from this thread)
2)Gnex uses "another" fortified glass (we already knew from this thread)
3)There are other makers of fortified glass (we already knew from this thread)
Seems like a lot of the articles out there are being written by people who just read Android Forums and repeat the info. I've seen this countless times.
Now, if they did some homework like true journalists and actually hunted down the other suppliers and tried to get them to leak something, then I'd be far lest critical.
Also, I noticed the price was $249.99 for me. That's interesting. I didn't know I had a $50 NE2.
Check your account online. You are probably getting a loyalty discount. You know, seeing the RAZR is discounted to $249 online (at least for me), I hope the GNex is the same. Would be nice to get for $50 less.

I'm so badly wondering what pricing will be. I don't want to pay full retail for the phone if it's over $600 but I'm in a tough spot. I've used maybe 10 months or 11 months of the 24 year contract I got on the Droid X. So with the $350 ETF, I'll have to pay at least $250 to break that. Pay $299 for the two-year on the SGN.. then $35 activation (heard sometimes it can be waived).
$250
$299
$35
------
$584 + tax to switch over
Does anyone know what happens with the data plan? My brother and me split a family plan because he gets a bill discount for being a federal employee. We both have unlimited data plans.. and I'm assuming that his account is grandfathered in to always have unlimited data plans but maybe it isn't. Hoping I don't get stuck with a 2GB data plan for $30. :\
Data plans are tied to individual phone numbers on Family Plans. I know because I have made many calls about this over the last few months! If your brother goes to no data plan you will keep your unlimited plan as long as there is no break in service, ie, you get a phone on that number that doesn't require a plan. As long as you don't do that, you will have unlimited data on your line.I'm so badly wondering what pricing will be.
