OK VZW, I will make you an offer:

You agree to-
Release SGN on or before November 17, 2011
Get Samsung to add an SD Card Slot

I agree to-
Still buy they phone and allow you to add your bloatware
Promise not to say anything bad about you (until I am looking for my next phone)

VZW- Do we have a deal???

Well I just appraised my OG Droid on the Verizon Trade-in Program, and it's worth $22.

:(

When my wife traded in her ERIS for the iPhone 4, she got $150! For an Eris!!!

$65 for my DX. But that was a few weeks ago, so I'm sure it's less now.

At those prices, you might as well hit up swappa to try to sell, or hold onto it as a backup.

My OG Droid still runs surprisingly well with CM6.1.2 and a slight overclock, as long as I reboot it once a day. I'll keep mine as a backup in case the GN breaks.

I'll hold onto it in case something happens to my SGN. I know in my profile thingy I say that I'm rocking a "dying OG Droid", but it's dying only in the sense that I've sentenced it to death. It still works great. :)

So is an 11/17 pretty firm or?

About as firm as pudding. Seems solid if you just look at it and smile. But don't dig.

VZW to another VZW employee: "Did you hear something? No? Eh, must've been the wind."

Absolutely keep your smartphone (at least one) back for a ready spare - especially if you're on unlimited data! My Beloved Droid will be semi-retired... ready to go to work just in case something goes south with the Nexus.

Now if you have ANOTHER one to get rid of, then Swappa is highly recommended.

I think it is pretty straight forward for the most part. Verizon set themselves up with 3 top tier phones to all come out at the same time. Someone realized that they were headed for a train wreck of returns and exchanges so they took their foot off the gas. They now have the Razr coming out and it will be followed by the Rezound a little bit later. The Razr and the Rezound may be a little bit of competition for each other, but with enough differences between them they can occupy the same space without a bunch of returns/exchanges being a problem. The Razr will go to those who want a thin fast phone and the Rezound will go to those that fancy Sense and Beats. Either one will make a lot of people happy. Throwing a Nexus device in the mix will only cause them problems at that time.

On the other hand, looking at Verizon's site I can see the Razr on the front page and I can search to find the Galaxy Nexus page on their site, but I don't see any mention of the Rezound (listed under some accessories only).

Personally, I'm liking Black Friday. They put the Razr and Rezound out under a BOGO or on some sort of sale and offer the Nexus at full price. Everyone wins and goes home happy for the holidays. :D

I just don't understand why Google would release ICS in another country first before releasing it in the good ole USA. As they are an American company and always release stuff here first......

I will NOT be happy paying full price for Nexus. Especially since my Verizon bill will be exactly the same whether I'm subsidizing a phone or not. No discount for paying full price!

I think the vast majority of us would rather subsidize it over two years, especially if we're paying the same amount.

My cracked screen OG Incredible is worth 17.50
The one I bought to replace it is worth 50

I might just give em my cracked one.

Good point. That's why I think something is up. Maybe even something beyond Verizon's control, although that is hard to believe.

I think she meant at full subsidized price, while on Black Friday the ReHound and RAZR get put on sale for less than what they released at. (But I could be wrong.)

Maybe they wanted to but then VZW put the brakes on (for whatever reasons) and Google decided to go with the path of least resistance.

I agree wholeheartedly! Not just that - full price means I definitely have to wait for it till after Christmas (too many gifts to buy to be able to justify over $400 on a phone for myself)

I'm driving in the car and can't talk much now. However, I do have news. There is a supply problem. I'll go into more that later. When I can post.

, I'll share the specifics in about a half hour or 40 min. when I get to computer.

Supply problems are never a good sign. Could be another droid inc situation all over again.

If he says it's the screen, it's going to be the Incredible all over again. Pre-order, or you have to wait 3 months to get it.

whoa, whoa, whoa...!!! who said that logic and sensibility was allowed in here?!?! ;)

Did anyone else just do a happy dance to hear that there is SOMETHING new to tell??!!

Something is better than nothing, but it may lead to gnashing of teeth, and the beginning of that scene where everyone starts to look suspiciously at each other, since there is not enough to go around...
