***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I hereby predict that tomorrow will be an epic news day for GNex fans! We will receive news! WE WILL!!!!!!!!!! MWWWAAAHHAHAH!!!

Tomorrow is thursday - Verizon does releases on thursday - so I believe some people are thinking after we hear about the Rezound tomorrow from HTC that Verizon might be more inclined to announce a release for the Gnex.

I don't think that... two competing phone announcements on the same day does not make sense. But if they plan to release all 3 phones on 11/10, then maybe. That would line up with the MAP's that were leaked. It seems weird that the RAZR, arguably the lesser of three phones, would require two weeks of pre-sales, though, whereas they feel the Rezound and Nexus would not.

My guess is 11/10 for RAZR, 11/10 for Rezound, and 11/17 for Nexus (unless out of their control and they have to make it later).

Verizon has always been Moto's android pimp. The RAZR preorder could be a result of some previous deal made between the two.

I feel like we will hear an announcement tomorrow of some sorts. Remember, BMX did say that Verizon has their warehouses loaded up with GNex units already and they are just waiting for the signal to go.

Did he say that? Or just that he expected them to be arriving in the next few days?

Post count is going down the crapper.

Talking to me?

I am skeptical that Verizon will make a GNex announcement tomorrow because it will take some of the spotlight off the HTC Rezound. Might irk HTC a little bit.

I don't think he meant the same exact day. Just that VZW will loosen up a bit once the final flagship phone has been officially announced.

If we get a release date for the Rezound... that will likely give us a hint as to the GN's release date. It also would not surprise me if some "undisclosed" source at Samsung releases something tomorrow just to take the thunder from HTC.

My predictions for tomorrow:
1.)there will be widespread euphoria on this thread.
2.) Panic will then ensue

Bet on it people. Money in the bank...

No. OTD will have to break out the butter fly net.
Because I see the EDGE is near..:p

There is more fruit on this thread then there is in a pop tart.;)

Folks,
A movement is underway titled "Occupy VZW". People from IRC, AC and perhaps other locales are banding together to innundate VZW with continued requests for a release date. The tweet schedule is up to the user, some are tweeting often, I plan to tweet once per day at noon so I can use lunchtime as my trigger to remember. Here's the tweet:

@verizonwireless Galaxy Nexus release date please? #occupyvzw

If interested, please join the effort. Goes without saying to keep all tweets clean and professional.

Ok guys serious question here!!!!

How will the lack of a menu button work with ICS? I just realized (little slow on this one) that there is no menu button on the software buttons like how there is on all the other Android phones. Many apps heavily rely on the menu button. Will all app makers have to change the way their apps work in order to compensate for ICS, or will ICS provide a way to still access a "menu" the same way in which we have become accustomed to?

*Hope this question makes sense*

I would like to help, but I leave the tweeting to the birds.
And that Face book nonsense as well.
Sorry...........:(

Was in a corporate Verizon store today so the wife could address some issues about her Bionic, CSR there said there will be an update here in the next few weeks for the Bionic to address issues with that device, I then proceeded to talk to him about the Nexus, he informed me that the corporate stores have already had training for the Nexus, that it is a great phone, but big red is most upset and holding release till after Motorola Razor because there is no identifying marks or symbols on the Nexus to identify Verizon, he strongly hinted that Verizon was very upset because of no free advertising for them but Google dictated nothing but Samsung and or Google was allowed to be displayed on the device.

Made sense to me

They don't have a problem releasing a phone with nothing but a half eaten piece of fruit on it. Screw em.

I may wait another couple days and then Razr it up. Hopefully the GNex will be out during my return period if I choose to do so.

Just a thought. Not a 100% happy one but a thought none the less.
