Han has almost 1,600 posts in this thread?! Wow -- that's crazy.

These top 25 posts have more posts here than I do total.

Didn't know that. Let me pick my mind up, it's in the gutter somewhere around here.

As for the minority, we definatly are. There are 20k posts, but Han, CK, Chief and Stephen are like 20%. The rest are 20 or so very active posters, and a couple hundred stragglers.

Now multiply that by 100 that aren't here and thats a few thousand people. Drop in the bucket compared to the number of anticipated sales.

Still, I just have this gut feeling that the phone will sell out on launch day. I don't know if supply constraint rumors are true, or if anything else is going on, but I just feel a disturbance in the force.

Trust me, we're not that small of a community. I'm sure there are quite a few who just lurk and never post/signup interested in this phone. Extending community to other forums/communities. There are probably a lot more of "us" than one would think. But of those majority, yes this community is the minority.

After seeing all of the Droid commercials, that Galaxy Nexus commercial is SO REFRESHING.

I am sick of seeing someone pick up a ball of light, throw it into the clouds, and then Verizon makes some claim about 4G and plugs an Android phone that uses it. That doesn't convince me at all to buy a device.

Finally, this commercial gives consumers a reason as to why this device is useful and lets them know what they can do with it. FINALLY.

(note: it doesn't surprise me that this commercial is awesome, because the commercial is not from Verizon. :) )

Ha ha, our two mods are in the top 10!

Edit: Ok, so this is my 500th post. But I like the last one better because it has Philip Glass in it. Should I be embarrassed that half of my posts have been in this forum? Yeah, I am. :o

Nope you are on point. This is the reality.

We are a very very very very very very very small community.

At least it's been a couple days since I've had an agreeing point of view with you - I don't feel quite as dirty about it today. ;)

I am thinking it will be a race to a store to see who gets them first too.

Ha! And I wasn't even in on this from the beginning.

Interesting comment.... ;)
See what you started BabyBlues. :D
Its the Sense launcher. Jeesh

I didn't even do it on purpose this time - I SWEAR !!!!
kinda funny though!!

Gonna post this in the root section, but more news for today.

Temporary root has been obtained on the Galaxy Nexus: 03 Nov r1: Superboot - rooting the Galaxy Nexus - Android @ MoDaCo

Superboot is a boot.img that when booted, will root your device the first time you boot (installing su and the superuser APK). No need to flash any partitions, no need to mess around with ADB, no messing with the contents of your data partition, no overwriting the shipped ROM on your device, just boot the boot image using the instructions below and you're done!

There is also the number of people who we influence. I have been slowly converting some people to android, I'm not sure of the numbers. But I can say for a fact I've directly made 10 people to move to Verizon in the last 6 years based on superior coverage while traveling/in the state of Michigan. (Although the gap between network coverage is much much smaller than it was now). But like that said, that is just the hard number I know of.

Plus, I was someone who was converted away from wanting an iphone when the OG dropped by a far far smarter techie than I! so there is definitely an influential effect.

Please release this phone!!!! I am so close to getting the Razr. I know I will like the galaxy nexus better I know that it is it better device I just want a change and I am going nuts
