What do you guys make of the statement "Will be available ONLINE and in stores Nov. 17th" and "Promotional items are not to be used until Tuesday Nov. 15th"?

Does this mean: 1) No preorder, and 2) We aren't going to get an official announcement until Nov. 17th?

I think they ship to time it for release date. However, some of the shipping centers are closer to you than others, and you may end up getting it early.

I'm sure they're shooting for pre-orders to arrive on the 11th. Whether they get it before 11:11am or not, who knows.

But there will be a small percentage that get it earlier.

Even if the source did confirm it, these things keep changing...I'm not looking at it as a sure bet until I hear an official announcement.
 
Is it better to pre-order the phone online if that's available or just go early in the morning to the store and pick it up?

Will I get it early or am I garaunteed one?

I love my CyanogenMod having beast of a DInc 2. This phone is all that Gingerbread should be. That said, I am craving an Ice Cream Sammie and my wife is done with here LG Ally (big ups to the Velocity Team for keeping her phone running; seriously!) Thanks Steven. Thanks bad cops :)

I still refuse to allow myself to get excited until there's some sort of confirmation of the 32GB version. (At least there's a lot bigger likelihood of that happening than of someone at the HTC presentation later saying "We've heard your complaints about the Thunderbolt's battery life and addressed them on the Rezound." :rolleyes:). Once I hear that, then I'll cancel my RAZR preorder. Or return it to the store since I may have it by then. At the very least, I feel we're getting closer to the finish line. And I'd like to thank our mods and posters for keeping the energy and spirit alive in here. It's like a giant pep rally! :)

I just hope the Nexus isn't too powerful. Unrestrained and attached to a robot body it could "go into people's houses at night and wreck up the place!" :D

I think it means no pre-order, and you won't see signs for it in Verizon stores until the 15th. When does it get officially announced by Verizon? Who knows, but I'm guessing the 15th.

Sounds like no preorder and that an announcement would be made by Nov 15th. Why have promo items before an official announcement? ;)

So my guess is announcement on the 15th. Purchasable on the 17th.

They're sales tactics are terrible. They 100% abuse the fact that they have the best network. Hopefully when Sprint and at&t roll out they're LTE its on par with Verizons...If it is, I'm out of here!
