i've spent quite a bit of time over at AC, and Phil doesn't just throw stuff out - he's pretty reliable, and seems to have some pretty good sources. [he was the one who leaked the VZW focus group docs back in July, which ended up being for the RAZR, and the RAZR didn't get announced until much later. Phil also posted back in July that a Sammy Nexus device was coming to VZW with ICS and a 4.6" screen.]

of course, this doesn't mean the 17th is written in stone - we all know these dates are subject to change, and quickly - especially since we're still 2 weeks away from the 17th.

I am just waiting for a VZW hater to come out saying since we have this info, now they are going to change it, so we don't know again...
 
The answer to life, the universe, and everything was recently discovered to be typoed. It is NOT 42 as we have been led to believe all these many years, but is, in fact, 32...GB! :D

They wont be. Verizon has such a lead in lte rollout that it wont even be close. Sprint already failed by having lte on the 1900 mhz spectrum so it will be an outdoor network just like its wimax network. AT&T can't even get its voice network together and by the time they get half as much lte coverage, Verizon will have already started rolling out lte-a.

Good luck on that. AT&T might be able to catch up to Verizon. But Sprint just does not have the financial strength. They'll be lucky that they are not continuing to lose customers. :)

Here here! And for the record, I think I speak for most of us when I say that through all the conspiracy theories and other nonsense, I never doubted The Source, or Steven. I never saw anything from either that said "This is the release date.", it was always "This is the information that is available to me at this time"....which is really as much (or more) than we have a right to ask for. So thanks to both of you, for the information, but most of all, for your patience.

Okay, my new plan is: if there is no pre-order, I will drive up to the Big City (for my dental appointment :( ) early and be at the Verizon store at 8:40 AM. Get a virgin Nexus, fire it up myself, activate it, do the paperwork, and get on to the appointment! YAYYYYY

The KILLER will be having a brand new Nexus and spending an hour in a dental chair, unable to play with it! :(

All in all, this day is a BIG FAT WIN!
