I have come to realize these professional looking blog/news sites are nothing more than forum lurkers who copy and paste in hopes folks will go to their site and click on the advertizements that get them paid.

There is no Barbara Walters, Andy Rooney types in our new cellular device world. We need reporters who knock on Samsung's or Google's doors and attempt to get word from their offices.

UGH!
I'll go a knocking!

If I could find someone to pay for the travel I'd be a complete pain in their asses hounding them.

Hmm, the big question is, are they going to warranty all the GNex's with dog hair between the screen and the glass? Or use this dedication to deny them, saying it is a design feature?

Yeah. that's a problem with this scenario. They'd no longer be able to say no animals were harmed in the making of this product and PETA would lose their minds. That's why I went with the donation to the shelter and honoring of the deceased. Plus only a heartless bastard wouldn't want to buy one to help the puppy's cause. Win/win.

I may be better at this spinning crap than at programming.

I don't know anyone that works inside Verizon or I would be bugging them myself. The only person I know is someone with a big marketing firm that handles some of Verizon's marketing.

Hmm, we might not have one of those investigative reporter types, but we do have a CIA operative type in Steven, who has "turned" a number of inside sources into AF informants. Lets just hope VZW doesn't discover him, and put him in front of a firing squad, or worse, only allow him 1x data.

If VZW is launching soon then it stands to reason this Friend of yours that does marketing would know a rough date lol. :p

Hence my previous post about tracing the posts from AF to the blogosphere as a hobby, especially since they're following Steven for this phone as a primary source (no lie, no joke). ;)

They seem to come from forums, other blogs, press releases and only then - insiders (vetted on the forum of choice).

If it's a news story without source links and a date/time, it's not worth following - and if it has those, don't stop until you click back up thru the links.

Said they usually don't get much notice on stuff like that. They said a few weeks back that all they knew was the Razr was coming a considerable amount of time before the Nexus.

Perhaps they are expecting the GN to be a big seller so they want a little more time to produce units?
I would have to believe that even if it does not launch until the 21st there has to be a *bunch of units already. Even if it lands on the 17th this thing has been in production for a good bit of time

*(Bunch is a scientific term meaning A whole lot) lol

Just goes to prove out little community is the bestest. :D

Yep, you definitely need new friends. Virginia is lovely this time of year. Just sayin'...:D

I have family in Virginia actually. Lol.

What part of VA? I grew up in the Hampton Roads area.

On topic: Maybe the delay with the UK has something to do with the US as Google tries to line everything up for a worldwide release.
