***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

On topic: I didn't get a chance to stop by the Verizon store yesterday, but I think I'll swing by today during lunch to get a feel for the RAZR. Just out of curiosity. Not really interested, but there's a Panera right next door, so might as well hit two birds with one stone.

Off topic:
As much as we're fans of Chuck, my wife and I both agree that it's time for it to go. Getting way too predictable, even down to the dialogue!

Be careful, it's an amazing looking and feeling phone....be strong and don't let the dark side turn you (at least not until you can hold both phones and then make your well informed decision to get the GNex)

I am in NJ - in Hudson County & girlfriend is in Bergen County -- where are you?

Work in Bergen County. Live in Passaic County (although so close to Bergen I think they like to pretend we are)

Maybe the delays to the GNex has to do with the Transformer Prime's delay to get ICS making one big Google ICS release?!?

Asus Transformer Prime Launch Pushed Back To December – Will Debut With Android 4.0 [Rumor]

I think they wanted the Nexus to be the absolute first and the prime being pushed is logical since the Nexus isn't even announced yet. :(

Congrats! I need to learn how to properly use multi quotes. I can't figure out how y'all do it.

For each post you wanna multiquote, click on the little talk bubble with a plus sign. When ready to actually edit, then click on the "Quote" button.

Note it appears the order you select the multiquote buttons (talk bubble with the plus sign) are preserved, and they appear in the editor in that order. pretty cool little javascript trick!

Me too -- I always wonder they are mentioning Blackberry in the SGN thread. ;)
. . . to provide a contrast with something better, maybe. I am getting more and more frustrated with my (work) BlackBerry, and this thread is whetting my appetite for something better, like the SGN (hurry up, VZW). Unfortunately, that will just be for myself. Unless my office adopts Good Technology or some other such secure solution for accessing work email/etc. on a personal smartphone, I will still have to have my BlackBerry. :(

Do we know anything about the camera except that it's 5 mp? I'd like to know the equivalent focal length and speed of the lens (maximum f stop).

Also, I just returned from Verizon after looking at the RAZR. Definately impressive in terms of build quality, but I still did not like the screen and noticed the pentile screen door effect especially on small text in the browser (I know SGN is pentile too) although the screen isn't as asbysmal as the Bionics. Aside from that, it was a nice phone, but I really want something with a screen that can compete with the iphone's. Still leaning and waiting for the nexus, but will be willing to look at the Rezound.

Welcome to our misery. And sorry to hear that you will still have to have the blackberry. Just think though - they do have the market cornered on battery life. :o

And he was actually referring to the fact that some people will shorten my name to BB so sometimes a post will have to be reread to figure out what is being talked about :D

It is interesting though to see "Prime" and ICS" in the same story. Maybe the original leakers of the Nexus got a little confused?

Asus announced it a few weeks ago already. Looks like they snatched "Prime" name as soon as they learned Google/Samsung dropped it in official name of Nexus.
