Pathetic. This is how I see it after going through the Bionic, the SGII bogus release on Verizon, and now this.
I see myself a pathetic mass of human flesh and mind refreshing here for a morsel about a damn phone. Its all been said. There is nothing else to ponder, argue, perceive, guess at, make fun of, hate or love about this walki-talki.

Oh the Angst & Despair, OH! ........ I'm out-a-here for a while.

It's not just you. I can't say mine is to the point of awful yet but there are little things here and there that I get disgusted and just put it down.

I've resigned myself to just not getting worked up about the release. It will get here when it gets here.

Can't say I really have any problems with my Incredible running CM7, it's as fast and smooth as just about anything I've seen out there. I could easy run this thing for another year.

That said, I don't want to :) I am really looking forward to the experience of the bigger screen. I also find the HD resolution and Amoled display mouth watering. Every time I see the backlit LCD on a dark screen it bugs me LOL.

So, yes I want it! No I don't want to wait any longer for it! But this situation is what we have, so patience is being implemented.

Reading this really gets me thinking (Uh OH! NOOOOO!!!!)

But seriously ladies and gentlemen. I wonder what the heck is going on. I wonder if there is a serious problem with the handset or there is some other serious issue going on behind the scenes

Yes there is a serious issue...it's called RAZR, and Big Red wants to sell as many as they can before dropping the device....IMHO. Seriously, I really think it's that simple. I don't think we'll hear anything official until AT LEAST Monday or Tuesday.

I'm okay waiting. I'm in for the long haul.

Anyone here Geocache? I use my thunderbolt right now with c:geo and my battery doesn't drains fast. Hoping things will change when I get my Nexus

THIS A THOUSAND TIMES THIS!

Guys until the RAZR launches Friday, we're not going to get any reliable info.

True, Verizon has not officially announced a date, but they have officially announced the phone, so your 4th point is not totally accurate.

Right, by "Verizon hasn't officially announced anything," I meant "Verizon hasn't officially announced any date". They announced the phone on a Friday around 5pm (great time to announce a phone Verizon.....not).

I personally have no evidence that suggests 11/17 is correct, while 11/21 is wrong. Furthermore, I have no evidence that suggests 11/21 is correct, while 11/17 is wrong. With the information I currently have, I cannot form a justified belief on when the phone will be released.

Like I said, I really hope 11/17 is right, but all I have are leaks from unconfirmed sources. I am not saying leaks from unconfirmed sources are bad, I am just claiming that I have no evidence that suggests one unconfirmed source has any more knowledge than another unconfirmed source.

Got back from a nice long lunch. I walked into the Verizon store and the rep was pushing the pre-order pretty hard.

I think it's a very nice phone. But like in Steven's case, I thought the screen was pretty hot, and I wasn't too impressed with the screen quality. The text looked pixelated.

It does seem pretty solid, though, although I don't get the "too wide" feeling that Steven talked about. Then again, he's got tiny green hands with three fingers each, so. . .

I HATE how they push these things on us. Don't try and tell us what we are supposed to like you conceited bastards. We already know what we like. Verizon, you would be much better off pushing and marketing what the majority of the informed people already like. That way, you would have a much higher percentage of new contracts (translated into sales) and happy consumers.

That's all any of us has. I'm just believing the ones that, to me, seem to be the most reliable. We're all going to believe what we're going to believe, and in the end, it doesn't matter who is right, as long as the phone gets released and everyone who wants one, gets one.

Not as much as I used to. I tried my ogd but it's gps wasn't good under tree cover. I use my garmin 60cx for most of it, and geobeagle to log stuff

I'm at the point now I kinda feel like a fool. I was really thinking that Verizon would do us right this time but I'm not feeling it anymore. Tired of not knowing. I'd be happy if they told us there is a delay, here is why, and our best guess for release is [insert whatever here]. If there is no delay then let us know when we can expect to see the device.

I've read several posts over the last many day/weeks that defend Verizon because they never actually gave out a release date, therefore there can be no delay. While that COULD be a true statement, it doesn't address the crux of the problem IMO which is that there was already an unveiling event for this phone and the timespan from then until now, along with zero word from Verizon spells trouble. I'm sure they'll get it out eventually but I'm growing tired of wading around in quicksand while the days of this phone's would be awesomeness and dominance slip by one at a time. The longer it takes to get it out, the further behind the curve we'll be once it's in our hands and that makes the whole thing less appealing than it once was.

To the gang here:
Sorry to be a downer Dan but I've reached a personal threshold. Flame away if need be, I'm cool with that. Hopefully, y'all can keep hope alive but I am cutting out for awhile. Perhaps check back in a week or so.

My bipolar is on the upswing today. I think we'll know something definite by the middle of next week. I'm still banking on the 17th.

The reason is because the very first thing, way back when, that my sister heard was November 17th! (Don't know if you guys remember that or not).

It's possible that the 17th has always been set in stone, and rumor mongers have screwed around with that over the past few months.

No flaming. We all understand the reasoning behind this decision. I am staying on the roller coaster until 12/31/2011. The release said 'This Year' so while I hope it's not that late - I can't say they did me wrong at all if they release it by then.

I surely hope for 11/17 but like I said above - I'm not gonna hold my breath on any date we think we've heard or been told.

The thing I really don't understand is what is the upside for Verizon, Google...etc to keep quite? While those of us posting here will diligently wait for the second it is announced, most people will just get whats in the store. If it is Verizon, why would Google not step up and do some PR for its line? There is a lot that will attract the average person to this phone and with a little support from Google, it could overcome Verizon's seeming favoritism toward the Vigor(it is the better name) and the RAZR easily.

It's going to be a rather quiet week with the Razr's release. I agree that next week we'll hopefully see more concrete info head our way.
