Guys, I think I got karma'd for screwing with the Windsock. My text chime just chimed, I go to turn the screen on my Droid, and it won't turn on!

I pulled the battery, rebooted (and I know it rebooted because I felt the little trembling it does when I reboot), but nothing. Complete darkness.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

damn, exact thing happened to my wifes OGD earlier this week, we had no joy.

Does the keyboard light up when you have it powered on and open the keyboard? if so, it doesn't bode well.

Verizon has pulled the kill switch for the OG Droid. They will all fail today so you have to get the RAZR.

No but seriously, this sucks. I've tried jiggling it, smacking it on the table, shaking it. Rebooted a couple of times. Nothing.
 
Good morning,I think I will go into the Verizon store today and make a scene till they sell me a Galaxy Nexus.I can only hope the store is packed with Razr customers.

Can you not boot into your recovery? I'm not familiar with your phone.

Have you tried another battery or plugging in upon boot?

That sucks man. I can't help but think however that this would be an excellent story for someone who decided to go with the RAZR instead of the Nexus, but wanted it to seem like it was out of their hands... But I believe you.

Don't have another battery, yes it's plugged in, and I tried booting into recovery and nothing.

lol. Not going with RAZR. I'll probably go with one of my sister's phones. She's got like 4 or 5 of them lying around. It will just suck because she'll have to ship it to me from out of state.

I just can't believe it. It was seriously running flawlessly til now. Doesn't make sense. I almost think that there's like a "2 year chip" in there somewhere that just makes it crap out on time so that you have to upgrade.

I emailed my wife and she emailed back saying "lol. Get the iPhone."

yeah, it isn't looking good. I took my wifes phone apart (I'm really good at that kind of stuff) hoping that the connector got loose (hoping she dropped it). that wasn't it.

not sure why, but ogd's seem to have a high number going bad around the 2 year mark with screen/digitizer issues. Granted very small sample size based on talking online.
