The problem with google music is it takes forever to upload all of my music plus they only allow 20k songs, I have way more than that.

Agreed. I got my invitation 3 or 4 days ago and i'm only halfway through (and i'm connected via ethernet, not wifi) ~4000 songs.

i'd be curious to know what the upload experience is like with motocast. im sure it's only a matter of time but, is motocast an exclusive blur feature or an extractable apk?

20,000 songs is a lot of music. i can't imagine why you would want to have access to that all the time.

Been following this thread for a while decided to come out of lurking.

Have done some research into the Goggle Wallet thing. Looks like at the moment the only mobile carrier to support it Sprint. Since the others are trying to create ISIS.

Will see once the Nexus comes out if Goggle Wallet is available on VZ but I am not holding my breath on it.

Welcome Rusty! Here is some more information on the subject:

My understanding is that since the Galaxy Nexus will be a vanilla ICS device, that VZW won't have any control over which apps you decide to install. They probably made sure it didn't come preloaded, but can't stop you from loading it yourself.

For some reason this makes me think of the Microsoft / Internet Explorer debacle a long time ago... at least we know we can always root our phones and install whatever we want! nexus... Nexus... NEXUS!!!!! :)

For the damnest reasons, I cannot get to Verizon site from my work computer. Damn DOD filters Verizon, but can get Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and a ton of other sites. But no Verizon. F'rs!

I'll trade. I can't access any of the social media sites or personal storage (photobucket) but can get to Verizon. Lol.

Also I am going to put this in the root section, but just wanted to put a note here about rooting for those who will be doing so.

Coming from P3Droid (and confirmation of a reply to me):

Motocast streams from your computer to your phone, you don't have to upload to their server.

I want access so I can listen to what I want whenever I want ;)

I'm trying this audiogalaxy right now, its taking a long time to add my music to it too.

More than 20,000 songs?!

Me too. I love GMusic. Use it daily... all day. It does take a while to upload but well worth it.

I have about 30,000 digital tracks. Not counting the storage room of boxes with physical CDs. Roughly 5,000 CDs and a couple hundred Records. Could be more, I haven't done my regular inventory/cleaning in a while.

Yeah, I used to run a music store. In fact, I got rid of half my collection. At one point I probably had about 10,000+ CDs. Again, just a guess. Music loves me.

It took my 7700+ songs maybe a couple hours to get set up (99% of the time it just scanned so I did other things while waiting), however having access to all of them, whenever I want, for free, is so so nice!

Edit: Also, it doesn't upload any of your songs to audiogalaxy, it just scans your local pc, so in the end it should be significantly fast than uploading it all to google music.

Don't care about those two bloatware apps. I only care if there is something that prevents Wifi tether, like Barnacle.

I have those 2 apps backed up so that I can keep them installed on my device after a new ROM. I'm certainly not worried about coming pre-installed on the Nexus.

I would have taken that. I am seriously considering leaving Verizon after talking to that cold woman on the phone. She needs to stick to something other than talking to customers, it's not her forte. I think I will send one more email, still being nice, but expressing my dissatisfaction with the response and service I received from her.

It's not her job to listen to people who feel they're entitled to some ethereal and ambiguous thing such as a phone coming out and people trying to screw a company over because a person on a message board said you could.

Most of you make annoyingly stupid remarks to Verizon expecting them to give you something free just because you're upset a stupid phone isn't out. As cool as it is, its a freakin' phone.
