i totally agree, it could be released before that date and then on that date they will get new signage to advertise holiday deals, you never know. Maybe another buy 1 get 1 free promo that they've done in the past? maybe a special free accessory bundle if you buy it.

Yeah, that's an awful long time to wait to advertise. Unless 11/21 is pre-orders online and 12/8 is the first day available? But it looks like ad/marketing info, not product availability. So hopefully 12/8 is the END of the advertising as someone said. That I could understand, given a 11/21 launch or pre-release and 11/25-28 in-store release, giving it ~2 weeks of ads.

Yup. I agree with everyone that thinks it's about ads. Look at the box where it says "Windows refresh". Sounds like updated signage to me. We have considered this could be a soft/quiet/silent launch for a while so I think this supports that idea.

I'm usually an of Kellex's but this is obviously about advertising. Just look at the description for the Galaxy Nexus and every other phone listed. I remember in elementary school learning about context clues and reading comprehension. This couldn't be any more obvious. What's up with some people's intelligence these days? I'm looking at you Droid-Life.

The rep had the phone and store manager was nice enough to play along and act like I was an off the clock employee to let me play with it for a minute or two. The rep was there to more or less go over the phone and he basically covered everything we've seen in all the YouTube videos out there.

About the Nexus:

It is fast. It may be bias on my part or it may just be ICS, but it seems to be faster and smoother than the Razr or the Rezound.

The screen is absolutely gorgeous. I really don't have words to properly describe it. Take the rezound screen and make it better, that is all I can come up with.

The size is like a pretty good combination of the Rezound and the Razr. It doesn't have the width of the Razr or the thickness of the Rezound though. The curve is very subtle and I almost forgot that it was really there.

The phone really functioned flawlessly too. With LTE it was blazing fast to bring up the web and the market. I didn't see music in the market on the phone, btw.

The rep demoed the camera and it really is just about instant. Tap the screen and you have a picture and the phone is ready to go again right away.

He also showed us Face Unlock which was really cool, but I can't see using it all that often unless I'm just trying to show off the feature.

Someone asked what the build was at it was 4.0.1 so I don't think this one has had the update that people were talking about.

I asked the rep about a release date and he said that it was on Verizon, but he was hearing next week.

That is all I've got. I only had the phone in my hands for a couple of minutes and had to pass it to someone else. I almost cried.

The one last thing I will say, I don't see anyone being disappointed with it. The wow factor is just too high.
