Well, we are were we always seem to end up with this phone.

Could be a Verizon delay for sales.
Could be a Verizon delay due to their apps.
Could be a Samsung delay for a volume rocker fix.
Could be a Google delay for a software fix.
Could be a Google/Samsung delay due to inventory.
Could be a Google/Samsung delay due to memory.
Could be that there is no delay at all.


<Sigh> Going to get some sleep and dream of a Nexus Turkey.

Honestly, even if Verizon came out and said there was a hardware problem, that Samsung had suspened shipments and Google was looking into the problem, and provided all correspondence, pictures of the testing and videos of the problem in action........we'd still have some who won't believe it and will still insist they're holding it back to boost RAZR sales and how much they hate Verizon.

Just the way it is.

Wow! I'm all about wanting and getting the phone right away, but I'm kinda glad this thing launched in the UK first. Get everything ironed out so ours is perfect. Hopefully that isn't a hardware problem!:eek:

That looks like it would be a VERY annoying problem to have with a phone. Especially if you don't have a home phone and 100% count on cell for main phone.

In order of what I think is most likely:

Volume issue
Supply issue
RAZR/Rezound
There is no delay
Verizon apps

And of those I think the first two are far more likely than the others.

Is it wrong that I kind of hope that they announce a major issue that will cause a major delay so that I can order a Rezound today? Or just fix the problem and release the darn phone!!!!

I know!!! Just want to know to wait or not wait... the not knowing what to do is the hardest part. I won't wait until 2012 to have a new phone. If there is a hardware issue that is going to be the reality.

I'm hoping if it is a hardware issue (which I don't think), the problem could be with just one batch of the defective part. Of course that's optimistic me talking. Either way we should get some more info/leaks tomorrow

Question, if i buy the rezound and the nexus just happens to be delayed past the exchange window, can i return the phone for 100% refund and go back fo my poor droid charge...?

The same reason grocery stores, cable companies and retail stores give you coupons AFTER you have made your purchase.

They have made us believe that we need them more than they need us. This is why we take it.

Sad state of affairs.
 
just a random fact about the phone I found out today, I believe you guys have heard of Gorilla's latest glass technology, "Lotus Glass"? I may be wrong in this, but apparently according to this the "fortified glass" on the GNex IS Lotus Glass. If it is indeed true, GNex is the first phone to be equipped with the Lotus Glass, in fact I think it was before they coin the name Lotus Glass. That explains the scratch test I believe? :D
 
It seems at about this hour everyday i am finally caught up in this thread. Here's to some good news in the morn. or any news for that matter.

On the volume problem...sounds like a bad batch of phones. Hopefully Samsung responds to the issue.

Silence can be very deafening! :p
