Am I the only one that noticed the LTE version now has Google on the back and not Verizon? So for those who don't want Verizon on their phone, if this is just the LTE backing for other carriers, should be able to get a back without Verizon branding.

But then the color would be wrong. One color for the back & a different one for the front.

That's your opinion, but I like the all black on the LTE version. I think in hand the black is going to be nicer looking

Agreed. Go look at how much 0.5mm really is and get down from the ledge

Its the solid color vs the sweeping slimming look on the side of the gsm. 0.5mm = 1/50th of an inch....is that really too much thicker?

HTC committed on their Facebook page to update the Rezound to ICS in early 2012. As all of my Android revision updates from HTC have been quite stable, I'm not sure if I'm missing some other point there?

For what it's worth, I stopped into my local VZW store yesterday to scope things out. While I was checking out the RAZR and REZOUND, a salesman asked if I had any questions. I asked if he had heard anything about the GNEX release, and he smirked and kind of nodded. After stateing that he and a few other employees were equally stoked about the GNEX, he said that the delays were due to hardware issues, the latest of which had to do with the volume cutting out on calls. He reiterated that there is still no solid release date, as if to say "don't hold your breath".
He then sang the praises of the REZOUND over the RAZR (better camera, better screen, $100 earbuds).
Just thought I'd share.

Personally, both look rather nice. As far as 'looks' go, I'm mostly concerned about how the screen looks rather than a color combo on the outer casing. If the screen is great and the phone performs well, they could make it hot pink with neon green polka dots.. I'd just buy a case to cover it up. In this case, I'd have no problem leaving my GNex naked in either of those versions.

As a side note, is there anything you do like about the GNex? Seems like every post you bring up issues about Samsung radios, gps, etc.. while praising the razr (at first) and now the rezound. Sometimes I have to double check your post name/avatar to see if CK came back to give us Gnex folks a hard time.

No, I too have been waiting for the Nexus, but that doesn't change my concern over Samsung hardware. Some here go in to the Nexus totally infatuated because of ICS and seem unwilling to look at some possible issues.

Yes, I too look forward to ICS, but I'm not blind to Samsung's history or my experience with Samsung hardware. My last venture into the world of Samsung was the Charge and it was, without a doubt, the worst cellphone experience I've ever had...and I surely was not alone in that feeling.

The issues I've brought up are fair (radios, GPS etc.) and IMO valid. Knowing my love for tech, I will more than likely still wind up with a GNex, but I sure won't be blind to issues either.

As such, they are 3D renders, not actual photos of the device. You aren't seeing much of any texture or accurate color/material representation in the 3D renders. IMO, the phone will look a lot nicer in person.

Yeah, it's entirely possible the color will be the same and I agree the added thickness of the LTE version is still not a big deal. It probably will look nicer in person...if we ever get to meet it. ;)

one of the biggest draws to apple is that make things work. i used to be a huuuuuuge windows fan because i knew how to use it. i've since got a mac and never had to do a single "maintenance" task on it, and it still runs great.

i love android. i loved my OG Droid. but in the course of two years, the hw and sw no longer play nicely together. i can only unlock my phone with the keyboard sliding out. answering phone calls is a nightmare. i'm lucky to send a text without the screen going nuts and typing random crap. i can't use buttons on either left hand side or right hand side of the screen.

no doubt forking over $300 for a gnex will translate into better performance. but at this point, i can only hope it translate into a sustainable device without having to root/wipe/clear. i certainly will know to do this... but i assure you this is not the norm. and no one wants to resort to that option (if they can get passed it with locked bootloaders nowadays).

You know, the Cheese Burger won't be out until next year and even then it will be in Beta form. You don't want it. Besides, it's going to be called the Pastrami Deluxe. And I won't even guarantee that next year date, because it's all Samsung's fault for it being late. And they're using the same lettuce on it as their other sandwiches, so it's likely to take 30 minutes before the crunchy kicks in. And the pickles have fewer outer ridges so the quality is much lower than pickles on many of today's better sandwiches. I wouldn't feel right putting you into a sandwich whose pickles won't do the job under low ketchup conditions.

Now, what will it take for me to get you out the door with a tasty McDroid Fishwich? It's our tastiest by far and supply is limited. If I can write you up on that today, I'll be able to throw in an insurance plan at full charge, before the prices go up.

Clock's ticking and time is money. You're not the kind of person to waste money are you?
