Okay so people are starting to wake up. I think we fuffiled our duty of keeping the thread moving all night. I say we call it a night and let the early morning people take over.

Night y'all(for real this time)

Yep. I've already seen home security referenced, as well as hotel door keys. It wouldn't be any stretch to see things like membership & rewards card type applications integrated. Basically, any card in your wallet can be replaced with NFC.

But those applications of the technology are a little too practical and boring. I want to see it employed in something that's just... out there. Something we haven't conceived, that's going to be the next big thing. Not payment or identity related.

Sorry, I was a little unclear on that. I wasn't refering to it literally cracking a door, but to the example video I'm trying to post being just the beginning of what is possible. In a second when I get this video thing figured out, I'll post of the the ideas I've been thinking about that is kinda what I think you're talking about.

Edit: ok sorry for being such a noob, but how do you embed a video??

Same as adding any link: Click the globe w/paper clip icon and then enter the whole web address of the video. If it's a youtube video, make sure the only thing after the slash is something of the form /watch?v=blahblah and nothing else, or else page formatting gets gronked.

-For those posting for posting sake (to reach goals), be aware the Mods are not fans of this; it's been explicitly stated.

Not sure what you mean, I'm just trying to share GNex tech tips. Could you explain more what's acceptable versus forbidden? KTHX

At the top of my wholesaler webpage, it says 44 Verizon phones currently.
I feel like i've checked so many times, it's said 44 forever.
The last time it jumped, it added the new Casio gzone revine 2.
I got so excited only to be disappointed lol
I'm dying to see it jump to 45 for the nexus/galaxy/prime/whateveritllbecalled!!

if you search 5801 on vzw i'm pretty sure there is another headset listed that wasn't earlier...but that could also be the velvet merlin (firestone brewing) talking.

Wait seriously it has a rebooting problem. You would think HTC would learn from the Thunderbolt :tsk: :tsk:

It seems to be only a few users, hopefully a (small) bad batch. Otherwise they've fixed a lot of Thunderbolt problems: much better radio performance, battery life, and Sense quickness.

I wonder if we get the $10 prepaid thing in google wallet?
Google Wallet - mobile app payments

Someone earlier discovered that if you try to install Google Wallet on (Nexus I think) you get an error message that it's not supported on the Verizon carrier. People speculate that devs can find a way to install the app anyway, but I'm not sure it could work w/o Verizon's cooperation.

You really think verizon will allow it? Been a lot of speculation on this. I guess AT&T doesn't allow people to use it on the nexus S. Only Sprint from what I recall in the from earlier posts.

I didn't realize this may not be available on the vzw version until yesterday when it was mentioned here. Why is it impossible for one phone/carrier to just ease up and be the best for once?
