This thread makes my head hurt. BEST BUY DOES NOT HAVE GALAXY NEXUSES! The phone isnt out yet. Best Buy didn't get some mysterious shipment that only they received...

Yep. We've got nothing but mistake after mistake.

After the leaked ads that were pulled (online) and now this BB fiasco, I don't see how any argument that December was "always set in stone" can hold up.

It's like the 3 stooges with these morons.
 
I do think changing the title for the thread was a tad bit premature, Early.

Being able to get an ad that lists the wrong name for the phone only by clicking on a circular that applies only to New Jersey and having to search for it within the ad because it won't appear otherwise hardly constitutes a "Best Buy Page Goes Live!"

Long time lurker. Glad to finally post :D

Just called my local BB store and I got the same response. The gentleman I spoke with sounded very excited that I pointed out the ad. He looked it up and said they had nothing and hadn't heard anything but that they could have it this coming week.

I take it all with a meh.....Still waiting............mistake or not it is just nice to see the phone on their site.

She wasn't able to find anything in the system based off of SKU 3094141. She couldn't give me any more information, and didn't seem familiar with the Galaxy Nexus (Prime?), so she agreed that someone in corporate probably screwed up. She was quite nice though, and apologized for the apparent mistake.

I'm actually at my in-laws right now, heading back home to Boston today (there will be some epic traffic...), so perhaps I'll give one of the Best Buys in Boston a call and see if they've got anything they'd be willing to hold for me.

Yeah, anyone who thinks December was the plan all along hasn't been following this debacle very closely. I just hope that VZW CSR who told one of our members "week of Christmas eve" was misinformed or mistaken, but it wouldn't surprise me at this point if the release has been pushed back that far. In fact, the only thing that would really surprise me is if VZW decided to release the GNex before the 8th.

Don't you know about the millions upon millions of people who want it? That's why the RAZR didn't sell well! People wanted a smaller screen and a keyboard! :rolleyes:

I'm with you, and that sort of warped logic is exactly why I worry that we may not see the GNex until late December.
 
omgwtf is going on? so the phone is not really in the weekly ad when i search it and neither is it on the site when i search with the item number. But its on that one page that someone linked. Whats wrong with worst buy?

I think we'll get an announcement tomorrow, and hopefully release this week, NOT the 8th..
 
Off topic: So in other news, we should hit 1,000 pages in the next couple of hours, based on using the 50 post per page default view, and the big 5-0 for post count. Wonder if we'll see 100K before this mess is over. I hope not...

On topic: VZW is still scoffing and thumbing their noses at the GNex crowd.

My boss has season tickets to the Bulls games, and he told me a couple of weeks ago that if the season ended up happening, he might give me a pair to the Bulls vs. Miami game in mid-March. He thinks he might have to go out of town that week (there's a seminar that's tentatively scheduled for then), and if he does, they're mine!

It's a really frakking long time to have to treat him nicely and mind my p's and q's, but it will be worth it! :D
