LOLOL, truthfully I wasn't even thinking about that. And for the record, I agree w/Early that Rezound's 1.5GHz older generation CPU and Nexus' newer 1.2GHz CPU will be virtually identical in performance. I think Nexus has the better camera (despite MP, yada yada), but Rezound is said to be pretty good, surely better than my old OG Droid's.



Yeah I've made that claim and heard about the streaks elsewhere. If it only happens at low brightness it almost sounds like some kind of manufacturing defect. I don't know what to make of it. Any ideas?

as for the 1.5 in the rezound vs the 1.2 in the nexus, they say in a lot of places the rezound is faster hardware, and would be faster if it wasn't for sense. But in this thread it's oftne quoted the nexus 1.2 is faster. not sure who to believe. what is probably true is the graphics card on the nexus is faster than the rezound's. but the graphics card on the nexus is a lot slower than the iphone 4s and the s2. there was a benchmark posted of it earlier.

OMG are you serious? You are in for a major treat! Nexus is a dream phone for an awful lot of people. Great hardware specs, clean new interface ready to use or customize with all of the goodies the devs will be focusing their attention on. A perfect bragging rights phone.

yep, i'm rocking an nv2 right now, haha. i don't know about bragging rights though. but i don't care. if i wanted that i'd have a 4s already. everyone seems very impressed by people that have the 4s. when i say galaxy nexus, they give me a blank stare, and one person aparently said the g1 is the google phone. like i said i don't care. i just want that 4.6" hd screen even if it is pentile. and i want the quick updates for fixing all the things that are gonna be wrong with this phone. goodbye reliabiliy of nv2...sigh

Good catch, I shouldn't have minimized the issue. But no display is perfect for everything under all conditions, and even with those streaks it still sounds like a spectacular display. I'll be very curious to see the Nexus with my own eyes (and magnifier) when it hits the streets.

You're right. I'm sure a little bit is okay (it's more on-topic than a lot of stuff here), but this should be mainly Nexus content. Sorry about that Yadao.

Edit: And not to trash it. It really is a great phone, but there's no chatter about it. There's no development for it. I guess it's just really boring. The wife was playing with it last night (mostly reading Twitter). She'll be fine and happy with it once I get my Nexus

We still have Steven and Early, and Chief and 'vette, I would say this thread is in good shape. Then add in BB for fun, and almost everyone else, and I don't see why everyone is making such a big deal about this thread. It's fine.

The only "good" info I want is a release date and so far no one has been able to produce that.

Just incremental updates to help us appease our own desires of having the phone sooner or later. IMHO

Right, because the release date (with the officiality you clearly desire) can't come from here. Only Verizon can do that. But no better place to get rumors (and debunk them), get phone info, and just have general fun while waiting for Verizon to---

Well quite frankly over the past few days it's been neither. The inevitable "forum martyr" that created a long winded post on exit and the ensuing tornado ruined any chance of good conversation, and as you said, no one seems to produce any solid information.

I think this is coming to a ridiculously massively fast stop because the the once perceived good "OMG NEXUS OMG" - "NEXUS OMG NEXUS" conversation is unsustainable... We've been acting like the group of apes that just saw the monolith for the first time in 2001: a space odyssey, grunting in excitement to each other for weeks on end but never really saying much of anything.

Can't believe it lasted as long as it did, though, wow... hah! here's hoping for online pre ordering or something today.

Android news hits my twitter feed and it goes.. Droid-Life-->MyDroidWorld-->Android Central-->etc, etc..


True official word from Verizon is the only cure for this. Not cousin's maybes and friend of a friend possibilities.
