***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Okay, here is another CSR comment to take with a grain of salt, but I am guessing it might be accurate.
I was on the phone with a CSR trying to get my upgrade date moved up from January 6th (no luck with that and second CSR I tried) when I asked about when the phone might go on preorder, she had no idea but when I mentioned the rumor of tomorrow she said definitely not tomorrow since they had not seen anything in the system yet.

Unless the phone gets delayed until the end of December I doubt I will wait till January 6th to buy it, I'll just treat the free activation for ordering online as my discount. When I went to Verizon the discount was "New every two", now it is only $30, at this rate soon you will have to pay extra to renew after 2 years.

Great minds!:)

I think you can pre-order in a store and have the device shipped to the store, but I'm not sure how they'd work paying for it with a coupon. Might just have to cancel that living social thing. $25 isn't that much.

The DInc pre-order was online only. Phone was delivered via Fedex on launch day [or one day before in some cases]. Wait till THAT starts and this thread starts dripping with Fedex tracking posts
The in-store VZW staff were basically clueless until the phone was released, and only slowly figured out what a winner they had in hand. Don't underestimate the Droid-brand brainwashing they've had.

I PMed seidioseidio, on the advice of one of the brilliant mods, I think, when we were discussing docks and car docks and accessories a day or two ago. Got a response, today. They included an eMail to send "requests" to... so if you're a seidio fan, and you're looking for something specific, perhaps you can get your voice heard with the manufacturer before they make any final decisions.

planning on picking up a Galaxy Nexus (LTE - Verizon), whenever it comes out, but I'm spoiled on my OG Droid's car mount's ability to swivel to portrait mode. None of the car mounts that have been hinted at being specifically for the Nexus mention whether they'll be able to swivel or not. Are you guys planning a car mount for the Nexus, with its new port locations? or using the pogo pins?

We haven't determined if we will manufacture one yet, but I encourage you to send an e-mail to galaxynexus@seidio.com to request one!

And Fedex hate and stalking posts.

"So I followed the Fedex truck around my neighborhood for the entire day and still no GNex. I just know that the Fedex guy is using my new GNex instead of delivering it to me."

I hollered! That was hilarious and not too far gone from what some of these crazy people might do!

Steven! Please bring back Han, please! We need him.

Side Note: Does anyone feel like Han found out something from Hannetta, got himself (purposefully) placed on double secret probation because he knew he wouldn't be able to keep it secret from us (cos he loves us), and is currently waiting in the wings (read: Millennium Falcon) to bring us the good word at the right time?

Seriously, Han...come back man!

Ahhhh...are there black helicopters and a guy in a tinfoil suit outside your house.....lol

Meanwhile, my GSM Galaxy Nexus arrived today to tide me over until the VZW one hits the market. The SGN is running great on AT&T so far. Can't wait until VZW gets their act together... LTE on this phone will be incredible.

Jury still out on the battery life though.

Just talked to one of the online sales reps who also had not heard anything about a release date or pre-order date for the nexus. Of course, as we all know, they are the absolute last to find out.

In this company, "dork" is a term of endearment. So is "nerd" and "geek". Application depends on an individuals specific interests and traits. I, for instance, am a geek.

Also, please don't whine about useless post and then contribute with your own. All the critical information is in the OP if you don't want to esocialize.

True. When I tried to pre-order the Bionic a day before release (there were confirmed reports of orders going through over the phone), the Rep said they couldn't find the Bionic in their system. So I said whatever and decided to just wait to actual release day. He then called me two hours later, apologized, and said I could actually order it if I wanted. So, yeah...last ones to know.

Limit one voucher per purchaser • Valid starting Tuesday 11/29 • Entire value of each barcode may only be used once • Minimum purchase of $25 required • Valid for devices or accessories only • Subject to in-stock availability • Valid for Verizon Wireless retail locations or telesales purchases only; not valid for online purchases or use at Authorized Retailers • Not valid for Verizon employees, business accounts, or towards payment of bills • Visit www.verizonwireless.com/storelocator/ to locate the closest Verizon Wireless retail store • Other conditions apply • PAID VALUE EXPIRES ON November 28, 2016 • PROMOTIONAL VALUE EXPIRES ON December 31, 2011

Here is the fine print for living social. It does say it is valid for telesales, so I would think you could preorder on the phone and still use it.

Just allows you to watch NFL Redzone. The app used to be free, but now they make you pay for Vcast (at least on my Dinc).

I'm not sure that's correct - I watched the full Thursday night game on my Thunderbolt when I was travelling and didn't have the NFL network on the cable system where I was at.
