You probably will. Verizon not only slapped their name on the back, they stripped Google's and Samsung's. Yeah, you can replace the back cover, but if the logo is on the front, it's under the glass so you're SOL. I can not wait until the day multi-band LTE phones are available and I can pop my Verizon SIM card into an unlocked phone.

I was thinking the same thing. I a guy that bought a brand new car and before I left the lot, I made the salesman have the dealers sticker pealed off the bak of the car. They wasn't paying me to advertise for them, and I didn't get that good of a deal to do it for free.

I realize from the pictures that the back cover from the GSM looks slightly different, but wonder if it is that different or if its the shading.

The way I see it. I can hold onto my DX until Christmas. I've 13.5 months. Another 4 months won't kill me. For me, it's between the Vigor and the Prime. I must confess, I love sense. On the hand, I love custom Mods. What to do? What to do?

I blame Steven. VZW probably saw his post and decided they could delay it until Christmas.

1. Activate the Rez on the alternate line w/the included SIM
2. Get a new SIM from local VZW store and reactivate Rez on my line
3. Have my currently unreachable family member get another SIM from their VZW store to reactivate their device

...which is kind of absurd. The VZW rep said she was surprised this was the first time she's encountered this type of alternate line switcharound hell and that she'd better get good at fixing it. Yeah, I agree!

When I was directed by Amazon & Verizon to go to a store for a SIM swap, they messed up and activated an existing line on my new device and, blah blah blah... long-story-short: when things were done, they promised to waive my activation fee AND the new line I activated was somehow instantly eligible for an upgrade (shhhh). So maybe you can turn this into something good... y'know, "for your trouble."

I just got off the phone from upgrading my wife from the DX to the Dinc2(for free) we had a long talk about the nexus, without me saying any words of any dates at all, he did say that it was rumored to have pre-orders tomorrow and a release date the 8th or the 9th. Keep in mind this was a level 2 tech(the first tech had to transfer me couldnt help me). Now i dont know if it was from surfing through the web on his own, or from VZW. Take this how you want, just relaying information.

Did he happen to mention what his name is on this board?

But I got home and flashed a stock gingerbread ROM on to the OG Droid and it has given me the strength to carry on just a little bit longer. I know sometimes the reflash ROM effect seems to fade over time but so far things are going well.

AFAIK, there's no such thing as stock GB for OG, so what did you install?

Question, one of the rumors about the GNex release from early on was that it would be web only and with this there was speculation that it would also be a soft launch.

I think that was debunked as a misinterpretation of w/o which means week of and not web only.

You should always form your own opinion, but the overall consensus from the countless reviews I've read/watched indicate that the Galaxy Nexus excretes digested food matter all over the R phones.

Um, um, um, okay no comment. Discretion being the better part of valor, and all that.

Turned my rental Rezound in tonight just-in-case the pre-order goes live. The tech at the store (not a salesperson) said she was waiting for the Gnex too and had not heard of them going on pre-order any time soon. They had not received any training, but they did have the accessories in the back.

Did the RAZR or any other phones with pre-orders get a midnight release? Or is it more likely they will do it during business hours sometime?

I believe that when I preordered my Dinc it was shortly after midnight. I vaguely remember us crashing Verizon's servers and then we all posted when we finally got our order placed!

I'm looking forward to us all doing this again in about 2 hours for our GNex.

I was wrong, obviously you can also watch Monday night games as well as Thursday night games. On Sunday it is just red zone.

Let's be honest, what more do you need than Red Zone on Sunday? That touchdown montage to end the day is the greatest thing to happen to football since the forward pass.

It seems like almost a month ago that we got confirmation that GNex accessories had arrived in Verizon stores. Why in the world did Verizon send accessories to stores weeks before the phone's release???

Make sure that you dust off those accessory boxes when you finally buy them.

Probably because the phone was supposed to be out by now, but they changed their minds.
