During an investigation we recovered an unlocked 32GB iPod Touch that has not been registered or have any owner identification info to help get it back to its original owner.
Apple has a lost registry and such but if you call its totally useless.
So, I am the new owner unless the owners ID is revealed.
Looking at the browser history I see a user has been doing lots of research on the GN at android central...... Heh!
This being my 1st experience with an apple interface I am glad I am Android. I keep trying to swipe and such and getting aggravated in the way it is.
The darned thing is everything BUT a phone it seams.
The best part other than the freebee is my car stereo a Pioneer DEH-200HD has an iPod interface!![]()
Good morning Nexaholix!

I think this will turn into a Nexus One launch. I'm afraid Verizon will pass on the Nexus brand again, but will they get a comparable alternative as was the Droid Incredible? And will anyone go for a skinned cop out of the Galaxy Nexus? I'm annoyed.
Good morning Nexaholix!
I've been entertaining family for the holiday so I've missed most of the last week. I'm happy to see that this has turned into the all time great mega-thread everyone expected, but sad that we still have no solid news of the Nexus.
We had some interesting phone things happen over the holiday. Anyone who thinks Verizon is so bad, should probably note this. I spent 2 and half hours on the phone with AT&T, for my parents, trying to get early upgrades approved. They have been with AT&T for 11 years and I was told repeatedly that it would cost $200 per line to move their upgrade dates by one month. Oddly enough it would only cost $100 per line to cancel their entire contract.Anywho, after 2 and half hours I finally found a really nice customer retention specialist that not only moved their upgrade date to Black Friday, but also sold me 2 Samsung Galaxy S 2 Skyrockets for $125 each while issuing a $216 credit to their account. She also gave them free overnight shipping. So my parents are looking forward to having 2 $22 Skyrockets sitting on their front porch when they return home this afternoon.
Never underestimate the power of polite negotiations.
My girlfriend and I also picked up new phones over the weekend. She traded her Blackberry back in for an Incredible 2. This after repeatedly hating Android due to her use of an OG Droid and 3 different HTC Droid Erii. She loves her Incredible 2 though. So far she thinks it is the best phone she has ever had. I picked up the HTC Rezound. I finally figured out that the main things I really want are a faster phone and 4G. I now have both along with an option to trade until the end of the year (Best Buy). If the Nexus shows up before the end of the year I may switch and if doesn't I'll be glad I didn't wait around for a third month. Either way, I am enjoying the phone.
It's like a funeral in here. Cheer up guys. You woke up this morning.
This reminds me of a guy who used to work here as a programmer. All of his estimates were 100% accurate. In the software world this is almost impossible, something always crops up and slows you down. 100% accurate.
Apparently, he didn't estimate anything until he had finished coding it. Pretty easy to claim perfection when you are predicting the past.
Seems to me like saying Verizon hasn't delayed or missed any dates when they haven't given any is like estimating the past.
Just my brain thinking weird again.

On to a little news report:
I heard from the source. He said that the phone is still in testing. He also said that there is disagreement up at the top levels over the way this phone's release was handled so far.
Now this is my own take. It could just simply be a thing of a disagreement between people who say let's release it now and fix it later vs. those who say let's fix it now and release it later?
Who knows?
I keep telling myself that it's a [Nexus] or a [Rezound with an unlocked boot loader] -- which ever comes first. The longer we go without news, the more convinced I am that the finale will not be worth the wait.ReZound anyone???
Looking more like the phone won't be out in the US 2+ months past the announcement. What a debacle.
I doubt that. The Nexus is still the best phone around, and probably will be until 28nm quad-core processors are industry standard. The longer we go without news, the more convinced I am that the finale will not be worth the wait.

Wait, WTH does this mean:
"Coming in March, unlimited data will be no longer grandfathered to those that upgrade their contract or make any plan changes."

Re: the Nexus One debacle, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember Verizon ever making an announcement that they would be carrying the phone the way they have with the GN. Didn't Google handle everything from the announcement to the quiet cancellation? Obviously Verizon was involved, since Google's site was using their trademarks, but I don't remember a press conference and multiple examples of test hardware like we've gotten for the GN.
I could be remembering incorrectly, but I seem to remember that anyone who ONLY read Verizon's press releases would never have even known about the N1.
