Oh my, I must have missed that discussion...Yea, see I was thinking the same thing--that it couldn't possibly be getting any pressure changes (I mean, ur in a building) but I didn't think GPS could detect such small altitude changes. Now that I'm thinking about it after reading your reply, I remember that some of those biking and running apps give you a summary with altitude tracking as well, so I guess barometer has nothing to do with it. Thanks for the knowledge :)

The indoor maps are nifty, and expansion seems guaranteed, considering google is allowing stores to upload their floor plans. Guess that means we won't be seeing any Google Shopping Carts at our local Westfield's. :)

Yes, I love where they're heading. Thanks for posting that initial link too, I had not seen that yet.

Good Morning GNexers! About to leave for work. My 10 month old has decided to be up for the day, my poor wife. That kid does not sleep. So I see we got some good sounding news from P3 last night. The interesting thing to me is he said he would eat his phone if we didn't have it in 14 days, well that means he thinks now it will release BEFORE the 15th... Unless his friend is someone who would be able to get it early... 8th looking pretty solid, at least for now.

Morning guys and gals. Just catching up on last nights' posts. Nothing much going on. However, gotta scream it: DOOK GOT KILLED!!!!!! (Carolina fan here :D)
Well, Dec 8th is looking more promising everyday. My B-day is the 7th so this would be a great present to myself the day after!

Don't think Han shared it. Steven got it from her somehow. (edit:<-- this could be inaccurate.)

There was a wild rumor that got everyone worked up about VZW pushing this back to Q1 2012. Steven's "source" clarified that it was a contingency plan (as did Han's sister) as an option of last resort. Basically, nothing has changed. VZW is bickering among themselves just like those of us on the interwebs about when and how this release is going down. Some say now. Some say later.

The irony is that if it does get pushed back to quarter one, there may be at least 2 devices that beat it to the market with ICS, the Razr & the Rezound. I know in my case I'd have to give a long hard look to the hardware at that point. I say that only because I've currently got the Rezound and find it to be a very solid piece of hardware that has advantages over the Samsung. Likewise the Razr.

Decisions decisions.

I mentioned earlier here that I was also told by a Verizon store manager that release would be in Q1. She knew of the Nexus, spoke intelligibly about it and did not flinch, pause or blink an eye when she said "Q1". In other words -- be her information right or wrong --- I suspect she heard it from somewhere and it was not the web.

Considering her own company's press release contradicts this statement, and we have from near the top that Q1 is only a contigency if the bugs can't be fixed (which by the way testers say the latest update looks very promising)... I would say her info is probably incorrect at this point in time.
